recall completed, less than a thousand miles later vehicle won't start.

So I sent the offer to a lawyer here for review but I have a feeling they are going to tell me why it may be on the low end it will be within legal limits or not worth going to court over, but we'll see. I've also been asking the KIA rep who sent me this for a more detailed explanation of option 1 and clarification of why I'm paying for extended protection plans for a car that didn't even make to its second scheduled maintenance in option 2. So far he has ghosted me(calls go to voicemail and doesn't respond to emails). Pretty sure that's a tactic to make me just choose within the 2 week period the offer is supposedly good for.
A lawyer would probably get you a better deal, but you would have to pay the lawyer. Overall you'd probably end up behind unless the lawyer is your best bud or something.
Call the front desk, ask for the sales manager. Usually the website shows the managers. Tell them the sales person isn't working with you. If you don't get a response in a day, call the general manager and say the same thing. That lights a big fire under their butts. The sales guy won't get any commission from anything that happens with you, so he'll want to spend his time elsewhere.
I had the same problem with the service dude on a warranty repair. Once I called his boss and left a message saying "Hey, is Joe still working there? I haven't gotten a call back from him in several days/weeks...." poof! Things started happening quickly.

You're already on the right path with them paying for the rental and making offers. You're in the position to start negotiating. They *really* don't want to pay for rentals, so they'll want to make a deal quickly. Just know that you need to start working the process and stay on top of it. Most of the time they have agreements that say once a certain point is reached (a tentative agreement, or X days after some event) they automatically stop paying for the rental.

I'd recommend figuring out what you want to do - you can check national inventory online if you want a replacement - then set aside a few hours to go to the dealer and play hardball.

Update: So lawyer got back to me and basically send that the offer Kia gave me was a standard deal. They did however say I should at least see if they'll wave the mileage deduction and cleared up the protection and maintenance plan question for me. They told me don't even bother with the dealer and go straight to the company that is providing the service. I have no clue why the dealership couldn't have just pointed me in that direction instead of ghosting me. Just reinforces the fact that Kia customer service is hot garbage at all levels. Anyways called that company and they were super helpful and explained the process very clearly, was expecting a fight but was pleasantly surprised. They are deducting for mileage but it's actually not too bad, will be getting over 4,700 back of the original 5,200. Oh also lawyer walked me through the replacement option and said they advise most clients to just take the buy out. Basically it would be all on me to find and negotiate the replacement and I would have pay the difference if the dealer wanted more than I originally paid for the car in addition to the mileage charge(2,300). Plus last I checked there is only one new 2021 Kia Stinger Gt AWD in California so I have a feeling they will want more than I paid back in December. So I'm definitely taking the buy-back pending their answer on the waiver of the mileage charge and reimbursement of the first week of rental car(which corporate and dealership keep pointing at each other about). After that I'm done with Kia even though I really loved the Stinger. 2022 Genesis G70 here I come! Oh and asked the dealer if they could remove my MDRP cat-back exhaust so that might possibly be up for grabs soon. But I'll be honest I'm pretty sure they'll want to charge me labor which would make it not worth it, but we'll see.

What car are you getting next?

Genesis dealership should be better than Kia.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
So update here when you think it would have been long over with. Still waiting on actual buyback. Was able to get partial refund on the Vehicle Services contract and maintenance plan, actually the easiest part but with a catch. The actual refund has to be dispersed by the selling dealership which has not responded to any phone calls, emails, or chat sessions. I don't know what's up as the won't answer any phone calls in any department for the last few weeks. Not that it helped when they did before as they would always just say the finance department would have to get back with me. Oh and kia customer service just says that technically the dealers are independent but they will make a note of it. Oh how I now hate Kia with all my heart!

Yup, Kia service sucks so bad.

I just bought a 2022 GT2 AWD, and that was a painful read...

What good is a 10-year warranty if that's the way you get treated?

I'm not taking mine in for the recall. Period.

We don't even get a 10 year warranty here in Canada. Although I have to say so far service from the dealership I go to has been pretty good verging on excellent.

I have a new issue with my car though, a strange one. For some reason seams are starting to show up on the steering wheel in the smooth leather sections. Reached out to dealer, seeing them this week, they said they will either order a new steering wheel or fix it (not sure how they could fix it though) but regardless they will warranty it. Has anyone else seen this issue?

My feelings exactly. Waiting till the very end of my lease. So if they f*ck it up I don’t care I’ll just hand it right back to them. I wanted to purchase at end of lease but I am truly sick of this crap.
Sick of thinking about it. Sick of being worried of what I might have to go through if the damn thing breaks. Inexcusable. Such a freaking awesome car otherwise… Its sad -

Took my stinger for vacuum pump recall last week. But before that, checked the manual to see how easy it was. Still they managed to f...k it a bit. When putting the underbody panels back, they put it on top of the bumper. Good thing i fixed it, before it got ripped apart.

The whole thing makes me angry.
Kia is NOT hurting for money.
They continually develop new models of vehicles which costs millions and millions of dollars but they can’t take a tiny fraction of that and properly care for the people that gave them their damn millions.
Every time this thread gets added to it just seals the deal for me more and more.
I’m gonna buy my lease out, sell for whatever profit and I will not buy this brand again.

I too will not buy again unless they upgrade their service abilities. I don't want let this car go so I pray it holds together. 28 month no issues thus far.

Facts lol. I’d rather pay out of pocket for minor things then deal with the crap I’ve seen on here. I’m terrified to go to a dealership.
