Been called out by an M340i xdrive

Get one of these and put it on his desk

Update:

He works from home today lol

I've talked to his colleague and he confirmed me he tried 3 more passes back to back and did worse than his PB of 12.05s on all 3. Apparently he was very pissed and tried very hard on their way home to convince him that it was the track, bad launch, the car's fault, no not really, wasn't 100% there, gave me a slight chance, turbo lag, etc.

Spin the "have a reason" wheels really....
Part of the reason that his times got slower because the engine was probably heat soaked from back to back runs. Turbo's need to be cooled down between passes Having meth helps and so does a bigger intercooler or a chiller on it, but they slow down when they're too hot.

That's not just BMW's but any car with turbo's, especially at the drag strip.

This is just a suggestion, but if Nick is just a straight up jerk and you don't like being around him (why would you if he's that bad) and now he wants to ignore/avoid you, then consider that your biggest win because now you don't have to deal with his mouth.

It's kind of like the Guy that you loaned $20 to and then every time that he sees you, he walks across the street to avoid paying you back. You lost $20 but will probably never have him ask for money again.

That's a win in itself! :)

It Really does make me smile that you got under his skin so much that he's going to have to get a second job to pay for mods on his M340ix just to beat you! :D

This gen is water-air cooling though, so it's much better at that. It's probably still going to have an effect. I doubt it's the turbo, usually it's everything downstream that the turbo is heating, the cylinders, etc. They dump crazy amounts of fuel under boost if you've ever watched a tracking device that can show you real-time mixture or GPH. All of that is to cool the cylinders/pistons.

Thanks! I didn't know that. :)

Man, this thread has gotten me real exited. I have a new 2022 GT1. First kinda race, roll maybe 50mph, called out by a Lexus, I was like babe I got him, he waved 3, thumbs up, I honked 3 times then punched it!!!!. Serious lag, he left me, torque finally kicked in. He gapped me by half a car. I didn’t know what Lexus it was… my first race and loss.

Have you dropped it down by a couple of gears before you punched it?

Alot of variables come into play. Was he bolt on? Or did it seem he was modded? Was it a late gen IS-F? If I recall correctly, late gens are bit lighter and can pull abit better than new gens.

Research alot on the jb4 piggyback tune for starter.

Would easily gap any is-f.

RCF should be a monster on the highway. It's a little quicker than the Stinger from a stand still but their extra 100 hp should make quite a difference at highway speeds where traction isn't as important.

A stock Stinger losing from a 50 roll to a RCF is an acceptable loss.

Thats true. But modded to modded, stingers should walk one. Lexus beyond a exhaust mod costs an arm and a leg so doubt most would be supercharged lol

Roll races are not really our territory. Stick to digs (standstill) and you'll have most people wondering why they're getting owned.

Also, losing to an RC-F from a 50 roll is to be expected when you're stock, maybe even modded (depends on how much you do to your car).

Lastly, and this is the most important........... just spend time learning your car (optimum shift points, what rpm to launch at, what distance you can expect to still have an edge). Glad to see another enthusiast on the road, now it's time to do the homework so that you can represent when the time comes.

Wrong car. RC-F is 470's HP and 390's TQ (Crank #'s). Piggyback ain't gapping this at all lol. Another thing, it traps 112 stock......much higher than our platform. Always know what you're up against if you want to avoid a trip to Gapplebee's :)

My bad, totally thought I read IS F lmao.

Yeah RC-F, need to go almost full bolt on, with a proper tune to take one. Especially on a dig should get the W. Could get dicey on a roll.

This^^^. If you just floor it at 2k rpms your gonna have some lag and it can actually be bad for the engine. The goal is to be right in your power band. Drop a few gears to get your rpms up to 4000 then punch it and manually upshift at 5600 rpm. Makes a WORLD of difference. You’ll be surprised how hard and quick the car pulls in that rpm range. Not saying you would have beaten him, but if he only beat you by a half a car, it would have been neck and neck. Nowwwww if the Lexus knew how to drive his car, it wouldn’t matter either way against a stock Stinger. No shame in that loss at all.

How would that be bad for the engine?

From what I understand, and please correct me if I'm wrong, you don't want to put too much strain on the engine in low RPMs. I was always taught with turbo engines, Heavy load (on the engine) you want High RPMs. I guess it's called LSPI ( Low speed preignition). It's basically lugging the engine. I don't have a ton of auto knowledge, so If I'm wrong please correct me. This may only occur with manual transmissions as automatic transmissions will down shift automatically but I'm not sure. If I'm wrong just tell me to pound sand lol
