• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

What did you do to your Stinger in Australia today?

Yeah, was thinking along the same lines. Probably do it on the weekend before it gets dirty in there.

Well today I pulled the brakes apart and cleaned everything, lubed and applied the CRC orange stuff. Now hopefully the brake noises will be no more.

While I had the car up, I also installed the ATQ Subframe Chassis Collar Kit and a Fumoto F106SX drain valve.

Hopefully tomorrow I'll take the car for a drive and see how the brakes go.
Don't expect any difference from the ATQ collars but we'll see.

Brake noises , GONE !

And the brakes are working much better now, so, win, win !

And the most surprising thing is that you CAN actually feel a subtle but definite difference within the car with the ATQ Collar kit fitted !

My car just clicked over 6,000KM so I expected nothing and did it as a prevention thing but it actually made a noticeable difference

I'm actually surprised that Kia released their Flagship weapon with so many gremlins. Good thing there are people making bits to fix them and Forums with people sharing ideas and experiences.

Got my 50,000km service last Friday said my brakes were at 70% so given you’re about 20,000km behind me that would track roughly I guess that you’d be about 80%.

Makes sense as you do a lot of highway driving too. Will be interesting to see how long they last.

I’m due for my 60K service in a week or so. I’ll report back on my brakes for comparison purposes.
So 60K service performed today, nothing of note to report. The report doesn’t provide a brake percentage as you guys have been given; instead it just says that front and rear brake pads were both measured at -7mm. Anyone know how that compares?

Apparently my car wasn‘t subject to the recall so no action was required in that regard.

You sure that's not +7mm ?
If you have 7mm of pad material left you're good for at least 20K.

Too lazy to put mine in been sitting in the console for two months lol.

@ 60K & pads are -7mm I would assume that you have approx. 3mm of material left, I’m surprised they didn’t recommend replacements.

Clicked over 29,000km today. Only driven 800km in nearly 4 months since 3yr service in May.

5km radius travel only unless essential worker, if so carry correct exemption documents and perhaps a negative test result under 72 hours old to show the boys in blue. Police that is not Wehrmact Mp's. Lol.

Assuming the report is correct, I agree, OliverNuther should be up for a set of pads. I've always given customers their brake pad summation as ~10,000KM left etc. Saying + or -7mm is pointless IMO.

I’ll be in for my 70K service before too long so I’ll ask about them. But yes, not like a dealer to miss a sales pitch.

Yes, -7mm meant nothing to me.

that looks great, where did u get it from ?

cheers
In one of the Stinger Facebook groups I’m a member of , the admin did a group buy at a discount, I think he ordered through Itzy but not 100% sure.
