Maximum Gas Mileage

Try ECO mode with the “Coasting” feature turned on if you have significant downhill portions. That can improve gas mileage a lot if there are long downhill sections.
My 2018 didn’t have the coasting feature as an option. I’ve tried using ECO mode before. Never saw any difference in mileage

Yea, without the coasting feature Eco mode isn’t going to make a significant difference.

I get 24 mpg at 87-90 mph fairly consistently. Speed limit across most of Utah, IDaho, and Nevada is 80 mph. I wonder what my mpg would be at 65 mph. Will probably never know.

I'm reading all of these posts with mpg's over 20, meanwhile with the stop and go traffic here in LA I'm often getting around 10mpg, and sometimes under that, haha. And the last 350 miles I've averaged 12.3mpg.

There are definitely things not to like in SoCal (but arguably that can be said about almost anywhere), and completely understand why a lot of people wouldn't want to live here, but there are also things to like about it as well.

I've lived in the Northeast, Southeast, and SoCal, and I can say it's definitely nice not having to deal with winter weather, gnats in the summer, crazy humidity, and crazy hot days on the regular, to name some things. Also really nice to carve up some of the canyon roads and get some really amazing views in the process, or cruise the PCH (when it's not busy, of course).

I grew up in Orange County but I have lived in Raleigh NC for many decades now. Raleigh wins hands down. Beach is a drive away instead of a bike ride away but gas is cheap and I would rather drive my Stinger than pedal a bike.

Mountains are fairly close as well. Yea, it gets humid here during the summer but that only lasts like 364 days of the year so it isn’t too bad.

I just think Cali is too expensive. The price of living there is just not sustainable. Cali had a lot of things going for it when I lived there but the price increases have far outweighed any of the benefits.

what the hell lol. you guys are getting in the '30s???? bruh i normally get 19 mpg if I'm lucky

My GT2 AWD gets a good gas milage on the highway (up to 30mpg) - no matter what mode it's in. In city traffic it's poor (ca. 16mpg) and overall I am at 22.6.
Compared to other cars that I drive, like the Mustang GT, Audi Q7 or my friends Corvette C7 the gas milage is not impressive. Even our Forester while towing 2 motorcycles to the track got on the highway almost the same gas milage.

Same here. My freeway driving is usually limited to half or less, usually less. And I struggle to keep my gas mileage above 19.

A week ago I did a 6 hour trip to and from. averaged about 30 mpg both ways.

There's a big difference in San Diego and LA. I know they are both considered SoCal but LA and San Diego are two different cities to me. I loved living in San Diego.

I'm on the east coast now (DC area) and I agree, I despise the humidity, heat, bugs, and awful traffic. I'd much rather live in San Diego than here and the cost of living is no different here than it was there.

3.3.. my mixed driving around here is not bad since i generally never go into nashville proper. lot of 45 mph cruising and not many lights help!
We actually average 16mpg mixed same driving area in our hummer h3 adventure and have gotten as good as 21 mpg in the h3.

F'n great! And lucky you, i dont get that day off here in SWFL.

I average around 20-21 mpg in my GT2 AWD. I can't remember a time I've ever averaged higher than 22 on a tank of gas.
