Good Surprise Surprise - Buy Offer on Vroom

Jeez, $40k for a GT. They are only offering me $35k for a 2019 GT2 AWD with 9,600 miles.
And they paid me $39k ;) It depends on the location of where you are. That's the only reason why it would be so much less other than if you have mods on the car.

Only mods I have is an OCC, window tint, and some black wrap.

A local Kia dealership just offered me $41,361.

It was a welcome surprise lol hopefully your bank is customer service oriented and completes the process for you quickly.
So vroom actually split the check and sent me the equity and chase the payoff. They told me they wouldn't do that, but hey its a pleasant surprise. Hopefully the envelope doesn't get blown away by the storm rolling through while I'm at work

I have been waiting for 6+ weeks for Kia Finance to send me my equity check. So frustrating.
WOW ill have to wait a few weeks for chase to send me the difference of my last payment but I'm really not stressing over that 500$. It will come when it comes.

I would take the $41k and call it a day. That's more than what you could private sell it for.

Yeah they're clueless with their processes lol I was happy when I had the extra cash DD in my account. Are they sending you a check or DD?

Is that after the bumper issue you had? If so, and you don't sell it to them, we will have an exchange of words lol
haha no... that was before... bodyshop just got me in this monday.. i will see what they offer after this as well.. Haven't driven the stinger in a month as of yesterday!! Withdrawals...

They sent a check, I didn't put in my bank info in the beginning because I was skeptical that early in the process.

You didn't take the offer and sell?
Apparently should have before i hit the tire haha. but I didn't.. there isn't anything out there I want more right now that I can afford so didn't make sense.

That sucks. I had a similar issue when I had my Genesis. Hit a deer and didn't have it for 47 days. It was rough.... I hope they do it correctly. Nothing worse than a bad color match from an "insurance claim". See if you can file for a diminished value through your insurance. That may help out a bit with the resale value.

Makes sense. I knew once I put the registration and all that I was committed. Don't lose it lol

ah, i'll have to look into that...
and fingers crossed, paint looks good, picked my body shop that does local work on high end vehicles and very highly recommended in our local car culture. They've recently done a repair/repaint on a jag xj220 even!

The only time I saw to give my info was the very beginning when I accepted the offer. I wont loose it but hopefully either 1. It gets delivered later when I'm home or 2. The fed ex guy has enough sense to put it in between my storm door knowing there is bad weather rolling in.

I gotcha, it sounded like you already had the check. Yeah, praying for you lol that amount of money can't get lost...

I hear ya. I really love my Stinger. I have another vehicle so if I sold it I wouldn't need to buy anything and could wait out this crazy market before considering a 2nd vehicle again.

Sell it while you can for a decent price!

Sound advice. The Vroom/Carvana value of my car has dropped over $4k in the last 10 days. I've recently started working from home and have put maybe 50 miles on the car in the last month. I wished I'd sold it when the time was optimal.

Don’t worry about it. As long as the market persists, the offer rates will go back up. Vroom and Carvana like to drop offers when people get them consecutively after one has expired. The logic is that you’re actively looking to sell so they can now try to lowball you. I’d wait 3 weeks and try again.

Vroom’s offer on our i3 on 5/18 was $1000 less than the offer we received on 6/16. Just give it some time and you may see an increase.
