I shopped hard for my Stinger. I physically went to 4 Kia Dealerships and virtually attended three more. I also phoned and negotiated with three other dealers. I eventually bought my Stinger from Mac at Brampton Kia. He offered the exact same price as Cambridge Kia however he threw in winter floor mats and gave me more money for my trade in. Grimsby Kia negotiated over the phone as did Cambridge Kia and Brantford Kia. I attended at Markham KIA, 427 Kia, Brampton Kia and Scarboro Kia. The sales people were all helpful and knowledgable about the Stinger. Milton Kia, Newmarket Kia and Plaza Kia wouldn't negotiate over the phone. I have to give a shout out to the sales manager at Durham KIA. He told me to negotiate my best deal and then call him. He promised to tell me if he could beat the price or not. Once I negotiated my best number from Cambridge Kia and Brampton Kia I called him. He told me to buy it at one of those two shops as he couldn't beat that price. Decent of him to save me the trip only to be angry at him. I would buy from Mac again. No high pressure. He negotiated hard and we struck a deal. They did try to sell me the scam rust proofing though. I thought this had been stopped in Canada. The one where they electrically charge the car to prevent rust. There are plenty of articles debunking this. It only works on ships as they are immersed in salt water and it's very conductive.

Congrats and welcome to the Stinger Family. What year, trim line did you get? How much did you pay? You going to do any mods?

I got the 2021 GT Limited in Aurora Black with the red Nappa leather interior. I paid $46,000 plus taxes and freight. They threw in the winter mats. I used a red paint marker on the stinger logo on those mats to match the red interior.
Only mods so far is badging. I’ve put snow tires and RS rims on it. I’m looking at a cold air intake. Not sure what mods would void my warranty so I won’t do much to it fit that reason. It’s got the power and performance already so I won’t do much to it.

Hey BigCityD
Did you lease or finance? Did you trade in or put any money down? What is your monthly or biweekly payment? If lease did how many KM’s and what was buyback?
Curious, did you read the thread about lease to buyout? Just wondering to know if this can be done in Canada.

FYI I have been talking to Neil at the Brampton dealership.
Appreciate anything more you can provide.

I can’t post link as I’m a new member but here is name and number of thread.

I bought. I got 0 percent interest for 5 years. They were offering .9%. I got the 0% as I qualified for the KIA loyalty 1 % bonus. I traded an old Kia Optima in for a 2000 down payment. My monthly payments are $882 per month. The lease buy back thing isn't available here in Canada and leasing doesn't work for me tax wise. Buy this car! It's amazing!

Cheers man. I’m getting down to final numbers. Sent out mass email to 22 dealership sales managers across GTA negotiating for best deal. $46k before taxes is a good deal. Probably going to lease as that’s what I’ve done with my previous 3 Subaru’s. Unfortunately I don’t have a Kia so don’t qualify for the loyalty program. Looking to trade in my VW GTI as well.

Reach out to Orangeville Kia. I paid just under $43k before freight and taxes for my 2020 GT-Limited back in August. When I bought they said they were making only $650 of the car.

Cheers. I was speaking with Ryan Richards at orangeville already and will follow up with him this week.

Have a look at their stock in person if you can. Look for the delivery date on the window sticker. The longer it's been on their lot the more motivated they are to sell it. Once the car hits about 90 days on the lot, the dealer has to pay interest to the manufacturer, it starts costing them money to have the car. They are willing to take less for it to move it off the lot and get fresh stock that they have more time to sell. Good luck. You will be amazed at the difference going from a Subaru to the Stinger.

Is there a site or link to see window sticker? I know other car makers have them available online in Canada. If the Stinger is even close to as satisfying to drive and reliable as the Subarus I’ll be happy. Having had 2 WRX’s and a STI my expectations in a 4 door family sports vehicle is very high. The GTI I still have couldn’t do it for me.

I’m not aware of any site for the window stickers. I’d task the salesman to photograph them and send it to you. If he’s serious about the sale then he’ll do this for you. The added back seat room, cargo storage and fit and finish from your previous rides plus the additional 150 horsepower and 120 ft.lbs of torque really do make the driving experience fun. Drive your car in a spirited fashion around the dealership you plan to test drive a stinger from. Then drive the stinger similarly so you can do a back to back comparison. The differences will be more noticeable that way.

Will do. STI is 305 HP and 290lb-ft and weighs about 600lbs less. But don’t get me wrong, I’m a fan of the stinger. I’m very pleasantly surprised that Kia has a vehicle like this. I’ve also been looking at BMW 440i M performance which is similarly priced (my friend just purchased one for around $50k). I’ve done a lot of research, watched and read a lot of reviews so I’m looking forward to doing a test drive.

I was comparing it to your GTI. I looked at the BMW as well. If you Option the BMW the same as the Stinger the base price is over $68,000. If your friend got that car at around 50,000 tell me which dealer he went to as my friend is a badge snob and wants the M440i X.

Ok yeah GTI is just too underpowered for me. I was contemplating trading in for Golf R but they’re overpriced. Just talked to my buddy. He said it was a 2019 bmw 440i m performance that he picked up last summer. He bought it from Kitchener BMW.

The handling on the Stinger is improved by adding upgraded front and rear sway bars... not an expensive upgrade for what you get in return

Thanks for the tip. Also been contemplating carbon fiber upgrades, rebadging and air intake as first priority things to do.

did you trade in a vehicle to get to the $43k?

Price was before trade in.

Here’s the response i got from my local dealership when I mentioned you bought for $43k.
Did you pay cash or finance? Thoughts?

The MSRP for the 2021 Stinger GT LTD is $50,495 before color charge, freight, admin… any fees at all.

There is NO POSSIBLE way that I could come anywhere close to $43,000 for a vehicle that is selling at $50,495 to begin with. If you pay cash, there are some credits I can apply but if financing, only 1 credit available.

Sorry should have been $43900 after discounts. I took a finance rate of 2.99% to get $4k off. Then I got a dealer discount of $2600 on top. Total paid after taxes and freight was $51846. I also bought the 84mth/200km warranty which was offset by my trade.

I had dealers tell me the same BS. If they don't want to deal walk away. As I mentioned dealer said they made $650 on the car.
