• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

What did you do to your Stinger in Australia today?

What brand ones did they end up using? It's a bit sketchy if they don't wanna tell you, but I do agree that the springs work well for making it look classy, the stock height is just aesthetically not appealing at all. Every time I see a completely stock Stinger nowadays I just think how much better the car looks lowered and on 20" wheels.
I bought eibach brand from supplier and he installed them.

So, my stinger is in getting checks for rattling, but when I got to see my car for 5 minutes after a warranty respray I got to see the extras I had the body shop do...

Completely debadged the stinger and filled in the emblem holes. Going to just put subtle small stinger script logos I think eventually.

Nice, but now you'll leave yourself open to the kia anti de badgers and the Re badgers. Lol.

Haha. True, my plan is to use the smaller stinger script emblem that is from the boot to replace where the Kia logo was. I haven't got the car back yet to see how I like it so I'm leaving myself up for other options.

I already have a limited edition being yellow... just making it that little bit more unique again

If I was completely clean like that, I'd use these (I've had them for a while; they scanned black, but the script is actually bright chrome).

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Here is what I did a month ago in Aus (A bit late on this post). Finally swapped out the XForce for the Borla & Jun, B.L Secondary downpipes - worth every single cent, I love it. Got a great character, almost silent below 1500 rpm (mechanic still thinks it's magic for almost complete straight pipes). Snaps violently on the upshift.

Here is a cold start (sitting 9 hours):

Here is a semi-cold start (Been sitting for 3 hours):

Do have a few mountain videos of acceleration up to the speed limit if anyone is interested.

NO Photos but finally after 3 months of waiting for my Whiteline front and rear sway bar kit got installed. Night and day difference between stock when giving it a bit in the corners.

Yeh please post man !

It's only about 30 seconds, the quality is absolutely terrible, and only went up to speed limit (so don't have flat out continued acceleration). Didn't really set up for it, was the first weekend and wanted to just get out to give it a shot, so used my phone.

I will record longer ones in the future with a GoPro when I can get my hands on one. Considerably louder in real life than the video.

PS: Not me filming, passenger found it hard to keep steady with the bends!

Nice sound! Question: Any drone with this set up? - apologies if has been asked before.

That sounds great dude.

Literally 0. My last exhaust was the absolute drone king (every single passenger in the car complained), and sounded terrible down low. This sounds exotic down low, almost non-existent now on highway and I can now finally use comfort or eco mode! (Before it was locked in sport or Custom, otherwise I would get a headache after 10 minutes of any RPM below 2.1k). I drive a lot for work (have done 28,000 km in 11 months), I really, really enjoy long drives now (about to do it again and drive to Sydney).

Don't get me wrong, you definitely hear it in the Cabin, but it actually sounds like something rather than a droney mess. It sounds like an exotic sports car - my old man says it is a day and night difference, and actually likes hearing it in the Cabin as it sounds good.

Recommendation though for this setup - if you do not want Lamborghini levels of exhaust noise, keep the secondary cat on and just get the Borla.

Thanks! Guess after spending 5k on exhausts I finally landed on the right one. Wish I listened to more videos rather than diving in a year ago, but lesson learnt.

I saw a thread where one of the guys filmed having the sequential reflector lights installed and he had a red light strip between the tail lights or maybe above them.
it is not exactly what i wanted at the time, but it was one of the first thing i did do when when i got my2018 Stinger, i connected a light strip between the tail lights and although not how i wanted to look , it always gets positive comments how it looks day and night and i think it something that someone can come up with to add in that middle place where it looks like it belongs.

Good effort man. And I think that is where the middle brake light should have been all along too. e.g like how 2015- Audi TT did it

Hope you don't mind me asking but approximately how much money was the Borla ? I think it is cheaper than the Bimodal. My bimodal was thrown into the deal but if I change exhaust , I have always leaned towards Borla.

Of course not! It was $2,020 (including GST and shipping) AUD from American Speed. The Jun, B.L secondary downpipe (or mid-pipe depending on what you want to call it) was 700 USD (841 aud ish).

The more I drive, the deeper it gets and I enjoy it even more. Side note: if anyone in Sydney is looking at exhausts - happy to showcase the sound IRL so you can have an opinion on this (believe this wouldve helped myself; so thought I would offer).

So you're not in SEQ as your profile says? Assuming that stands for South East Queensland.

Just a question how's the drone around 1700-2000 revs? Ive heard in the past with Borla its unliveable, maybe yours is the newer model. Where in Sydney are you?
