I've not tried the automotive version for comparison, but imagine most people have used the standard version that they already have on hand. Worked well for me - just takes a lot of time and patience.
I removed the original Kia badge from the front of my 2019 Stinger I replaced it with a new E emblem . But I still see a shadow from the old emblem . Is there any recommendations to try and get that out?

Hi guys I need a little help,
I installed my new stinger badge but i forgot to fill the holes before i put it on -__- rookie move i know, i was just too excited and once i started sticking it there was no going back. It looks really good, but one of the holes is just ever so slightly uncovered. i filled the areas around it with a clear sealant in hopes that no water damage will occur. Does anyone have any advice short of pulling it off and buying a new badge? if water gets in those holes will it damage my equipment?
also i used no hair dryer, on a chilly day in ct, and got them off fine with credit cards and dental floss... my fingertips hurt now tho
edit: i got the new badge off and ordered a new one, going to do it right. I used some shine repair wax and it buffed back to near factory paint (a relief after everything that poor little area of paint has been through). I filled the holes with black silicone, now i will wait patiently for my package to arrive while the silicone cures. Ill post pics once its all done
So got my badges from here and installed. Both the front and back KIA badge are just 3m adhesive only holding them. The back will have 2 prongs to line up and the front will have 3 prongs. Mixture of heat, adhesive remover and fishing line will get the job done.
I did notice the 3 holes on the front. the bottom hole is opposite the prong on the Korean E badge. Therefore I had to trim the bottom prong off with a Dremal.
I ordered the Stinger script to replace the rear Kia emblem. I watched the video where the guy with the red Stinger does the replacement. He mentioned a static film on the stencil. What is this for? Do I just leave the film as is and press the Stinger script into the stencil?

I just replaced my badges. Removed the chrome and replaced with gloss black from KDM. Easy peazy
To prep, I outlined the the original chrome badges with painters tape. I got that idea from KDMKurt on YouTube. This ensured I placed them exactly where the old ones were. I then used thin fishing line. I slipped it underneath and then began sawing up and down while pulling slightly away from the car. The line broke a couple times but it worked well. After that i removed the ”glue” using goo-gone. Then cleaned the area with isopropyl alcohol before placing the new badges on. Remove the painters tape and now it looks like it came from the factory. Then reapplied the ceramic coating over them and the surrounding areas.
there are no holes under the logos.
Im going to replace the front logo after the front is wrapped with PPF and then install the new gloss black KIA logo on top. simpler than cutting around it.
note: the Stinger logo is actually 2 pieces. I didn’t read the product description carefully enough. No big deal just be aware. Unfortunately I should have been 1mm more precise when applying the new one but I’m pretty much the only one who notices.
I also added ”stinger” to the door sills. I think they too also look factory.

I procrastinated for almost 2 years before finally getting this done. The original badge popped off after only 5 minutes but it took over an hour to get the tape off. I tried the Goo Gone gel but it just wasn't doing it. Don't cringe but since I'm old school I resorted to Varsol. Don't worry there's no damage to the paint. I had a bit of a shadow in the clear coat which mostly polished out but there is a bit of a mark you can still see at certain angles. They must put those badges on when the paint is still soft.
I know I have lots of swirl marks from washing it. I'm going to get it polished when the weather warms up some more. In the end it looks pretty good I think.
I think I would screw up my car doing it myself. I would take it to my mechanic.
But if I got the big Stinger script for the back, I would remove the small Stinger that is currently there on the side of the back - what would remain if that is removed? Wouldn't there be holes, etc?
