PRESSERtech Kia Stinger GT Dyno RESULTS!!

Arnie we had that fuel discussion months ago. Stick with the Shell boy:)
Yes I will be sticking with the Shell , as I can’t believe just how much of a difference between the Shell Vpower from switching off the Chevron 94, OMG this V power gas works indeed :)

That being said, I got a batch of real shit V91 once and car ran horrible so I guess up here in Kanerda it can be hit and miss with “quality” fuel.

Just took another launch tonight with my wife with me this time as she knew how dissatisfied I was that the car went into limp , air temperature +4 , and we did a 45 Kms roll on , then full throttle and once again things worked perfectly, now the only two things where changed prior 3 days ago was my 19 “ summer s and changed from chevron 94 to Shell V Power 91 . Now the Pressertech tune was setup for only 91 as they said our gas in Canada is not so good , so for what ever reason what I thought was the best gas 94 Chevron but after being advised by Classified Motorsports to switch to Shell V power 91 as they had timing issues being pulled using the 94 chevron.
Just thought I would do the Test twice to see if I got the same results and that I did indeed . These cars must be so touchy with respect to fuel quality, now these are just the only changes made and Friday , I will have the Classified Motorsports tuner run a Dyno and data log it :) at least now I can smile again :)

This morning I did 3 launches and once it grabbed the hold of the fuel on a launch , it pulled good for all 3 launches not bad for a family car and 3/4 tank of gas ⛽️, by the feel of the pull I would guess the turbo is set around 17 to 18 psi:)

This is the Pressertech stage 2 tune right?

I've always said feelings are really the best way to evaluate your tuning. And what can go wrong, it's just a $12k motor right?

Yes it is the Pressertech Stage 2 Tune , where my major concern was hitting limp mode as happened coming out of a corner at the Area 27 track last year , I may only run once this year but safely is always a concern when you have other driver s come quickly behind , so this problem has be solved and after this Friday data log and Dyno will show if my Awd drive Stinger has gained any more Whp or not ! My guess it is by the feel of things, perhaps 380 whp on the DynoCom Dyno of course hoping for closer to 400 whp on pump gas ⛽:) One can only hope at this point !

Let me know how it goes. Once my car is fixed I will Dyno it to see if it can make the same power on California 91 gas. It made nice power on 93, as the video shows.

It is truly , to bad the gas here in BC is of terrible quality in comparison to US gas ⛽:(

Wrong, it's like a 6k motor.

Junker motors from salvage cars are going for $4500 + $2500 labor to swap in, and those can be very hit and miss. Every now and again one turns out to have rod knock or some other issue and winds up being a total waste of money. If you're selling new motors for $6k installed that's quite a value!

Just the same, anyone racing around their car with questionable tuning without looking at critical engine data, is either highly naive or highly reckless.

I would think with this tune it should be safe as it is not too aggressive:) see what it Dyno s at on Friday:)

Dyno won't tell you if the tuning is good or bad. Go borrow a JB4 from someone and get some legitimate datalogs.

At Classified Motorsports they just got the equipment to pull the date logs for the Pressertech Stinger gt Tune I have just 3 days ago, so on Friday,we will see what is what then.
And TOrk will most likely have there stage 2 competed in the next 3 months for final setup :)

Thanks for the prompt reply! Glad to hear that 91 octane is not a problem, as higher isn't readily available around these parts.

I am somewhat puzzled why you wouldn't establish a baseline for your development car - especially as your website emphasizes your custom tunes, based on individual car performance data.
Steve did you have your car on a Dyno yet and if so how much did it actually produce for whp and wheel torque , I have appointment for a Dyno run this coming Friday but I got a message stating the Dyno is broken and there hoping it can be fixed for Friday:):( Thx Arnie

Why not just borrow a OBD2 scanner? Way cheaper and gives you logs.

I believe Classified Motorsports has gotten a hold of something to record the Datalogs now :)
However the limp mode is no longer happening since changing from 94 Chevron to 91 V power , not joking either and I just took quick rip after adding Lucas Boost last night and filling the gas up , which should run my octane level up to 93 to 95 , 3 octane points higher than the Shell V Power 91 , and the car is fast with no troubles or limp mode situations:) thank God for that :)
Just my thoughts and it makes the car haul butt :)

Why don't you quit with the additives and just run straight 91?
you are over complicating things.
more octane does not equate to more HP.
more octane just allows the fuel to compress more without pre-ignition

I just did as a test only to see if it truly was the fuel or they additives giving it trouble :) so now my personal findings , is without a doubt, is the pump gas quality as these engines are very sensitive to the way they are handling the gas :)
I was given the advice from a tuner here in Kelowna bc to try the Shell V power and see if there was in fact a difference with this Pressertech tune in the gas quality as I was about to put 2 cats back on the exhaust. The Tune that Scott added on my ECU is now perfect and smooth and fast for a family car weighing around 4100 lbs , I am not here to personally promote Shell gas , this is my finding s and therefore I will share for Canadian s that may have a similar problem, the US gas is far superior to Gas up here in BC :)
Once just my thoughts and true findings:)

Well it is true that Pressertech has some nice choices when it comes to the local gas quality. They have good 93 premium and that was what my car was tuned for. However I don't have good 91, all I have is meh 91 here in Cali lol.
