Which Catch Can Setup is best?

Is there another group buy happening now or anytime soon?

Not that I know of, but like I said, our group buy is basically the same as the current Black Friday sale thay are having now, minus the bling.

Ok, I’ll call them I think and ask if they’d be willing to include that stuff. Thanks!

I highly recommend SXTH Element. The catch cans are well built, sturdy and come on the GT bracket is just icing on the cake. Their support is great and Tanner bent over backwards for us on the group buy from before.

For the Group Buy we received 15% off, and some SXTH Element bling (lanyards & a tshirt).

WAIT!! What!???....I did not get a tshirt or lanyard :eek:...:mad: I want my money back!!!.....Lol

Agreed, after having installed and seen them both, ADD and Sxth element, the Sxth element is definitely better quality has a slightly higher capacity can than the ADD.

You did not get any lanyards? I think the tshirts only went out to @BertBert2019GT and I for setting the Group Buy up, but everyone in it was suppose to get lanyards.

Nope. Just got the catch cans in the box, that was it

Wierd. I am sorry you did not get any. :(
Probably to late to hit Tanner up now.

I would have to go back through email to confirm but I believe Tanner@SXTH said group buy orders would come with a laniard, though I do not recall anyone saying if they did or didn’t receive these until now.

What catch can setup do you believe is best for the 3.3TT? I’m looking at Mishimoto single can direct fit vs the double can kit from ADD W1 V3.3. Both items are sold in K8stingerstore.com. Please let me know what you think is the best setup option...OR, just leave it all stock? My gut is saying go with something rather than nothing but Idk what to choose. I’ve never had a turbo car

What’s your definition of best my dude? The SXTH Element Engineering Dual-Catch Cans are great form and function but require maintenance & they’re expensive.

Considering the cost I personally think the JB4 maintenance free unit has to be the “best”. But I would buy the SXTH Element cans again, and again. They look SO nice.

I decided to go with a single can from SXTH Element. Gut instinct. That and it was available while Mishimoto was out of stock. Originally did ADD W1 but it doesn’t do as good of job collecting the crud like Mishimoto and SXTH

Is the dual catch can design worth the extra money? I've seen other threads were it looks like the amount of captured liquid is minimal. I know I need a catch can but I don't think I'm willing to pay $400+ for a dual can setup if a single does 95% of the job for half the price.

Personally, I don't think it's worth the extra money, and I've got a dual can. A single will really do more like 97% of the job. Haha.

Depends. If you are running a piggyback, like a JB4 or Lap3 then yes.

I've got a JB4 with an intake, midpipes, and exhaust, and the PCV can has collected a ton of oil, but the other can only has oil stains on the inside.

I really don't think the 2nd can is worth the extra price. Don't get me wrong, it does help, but the difference is negligible.

My cars staying stock besides Full CAI from KandN and single catch can

Then you are fine with the single setup.

Same setup here, but my breather side, while it does not collect as much as the PCV side, does have some oil in it.

Being in CA there's only so much I can legally do for mods. This is my daily driver and I don't really want to expose my car to a lot of risk. Most I'm going to go with right now is intake, catback exhaust, and maybe JB4. Nothing crazy. So it sounds like the single is what I will do for now, and then if I find myself in the position to really go hog wild with the mods later, I can always upgrade to a double as needed.

how is adding a catch can being illigal in youst state versus a tune, intake and exhaust mods ??! :cautious::cautious::cautious:

Same situation here - I went with the BMS no-maintenance can.. DIY intakes + JB4 is probably it for performance mods. Will do some suspension as well..

I think he meant no DP/secondaries, WMI, etc.. Intake is easy to remove, and will probably rarely get you a ticket if you weren't already pulled over for driving badly. Louder exhaust makes it obvious you have mods.

that would make more sense, I was thinking how would a CC get you in trouble if you have modified exhaust and tune haha
