Drag/Acceleration Kia Stinger 0-60 MPH Times

What is considered a good time with RWD on stock tires without launch control?

New personal best on 0-60, 3.5 club using LC, no e brake or brake snip mod used. This is also hitting 1.77 60 foots.
Tork ECU tune, with JB4 adding a little more boost.

What fuel and JB4 setting used. Very nice time TB. You've got me seriously thinking about a visit to Mr. Tork.

Map 6, so its just boost. Added .5 at 5500, 1.8 PSI at 6000 rpm and up.
Not sure what happened to my LC but it now launches on 2 PSI boost. (got a tune update last week) Last year i was running winter dragy 1.82, 1.83s and now 1.77, 1.78s 60 foots.
Fuel is mix of E0 and E85, around E25 and a little Lucas. I need to measure the E content if i can get some gas out. I was right at the E max as i had 2 LCs bog which happens to me in the E25, E30 range.

I have Injen Intakes and JB4 installed and just did my first 0-60 dragy. The below, uh-hum, very embarrassing time, which did not even qualify due to slope, was achieved (failed) on Map2. I realize that I did not do a great job of setting myself up for success, as I had just filled up the gas tank, had winter tires on the car (michelin x-ice) and did not use launch control, but still. I would have thought that those mods would have been enough to overcome that and at least beat the 0-60 time Kia advertises for the car. Any insights?

Assuming GT rear wheel drive, 18° temperature doesn't seem like ideal conditions for traction. Never get your best run on full tank or with a passenger, but looking at the 40 - 60 mph you may want to submit a log to Terry. Did you regap or change plugs? What octane are you running? I'm a GT2 AWD and with a plug change..Densos .024 (soon to be .022 when I get WMI installed) with flex fuel kit 93 pump and E30 along with a good e-brake launch will get 4 flat to mid 4's on a bad run. Read up on the threads dealing with launching, check your logs with Terry@BMS and change plugs if you haven't already. Don't expect too much on frozen tires. Good luck

Thanks for the reply. I am GT AWD and use 93 octane. I had the work done by a tuning shop - I told them I wanted the HKS spark plugs. They said they ordered them but got sent the wrong ones. They had NGK - LRF7AIX plugs in stock and said they were compatible with the tune, so they used those instead. They are iridium high performance plugs, I believe, and the place seemed to be very knowledgeable about all things tuning related, so I trusted them and assumed they knew how to gap them as well. Maybe that was a mistake? I will try to capture some good WOT logs and send those to be checked by Terry.

Try lunch control and also attach a log.
First 10 mph you are over .5 sec off the fast times and by 20 mph more than .8
Full vs empty tank is .1.

My Daggy arrived today so I thought I’d try a 0-60 mph. Not the best conditions but still a pretty good time considering the temp and DA and the fact I just filled up with fuel on the way home.
RWD, JB4, map2, IAT 129deg f.

Do a run with the JB4 off or map 0?

Aussie testers claimed same time except their car was obviously stock which is why I'm wondering what the hell a JB4 and hassle of plugs is good for.

It's good for a full second quicker than that, trust me.

I expect cooler temps and 1/4 tank of fuel should help. I also had a lot of wheel spin in 1st and into 2nd. I may also try boost by gear when I get a chance and see if limiting wheel spin in 1st helps.

On traction limited RWD cars lowering boost in 1st gear can often help with the launch.

Here is Kagantuned’s results so far. Only his stage 1 tune with absolutely no other mods yet.

It was a little uphill and he spun all 4 wheels so he’s expecting 3.6-3.7s with better traction.:D

.45 - .50s 10 foots are doable on tuned LC so that will be fast.

Wow! "No other mods"??
Yes he only has regapped Denso plugs to handle the extra boost/power, but absolutely no performance gaining mods. Completely stock intake, exhaust, IC etc.

Yeah this is without LC. He just floored it from a stop and no brake boost or anything so another 0.2-0.3 is definitely doable once he try’s LC and gets better traction.
that's encouraging, where is he located?
NY I believe.
