50-55 degrees and couldn't keep her cool? That's, well, alarming. I know it's not a track car. But I want to enjoy it on the track at 8 tenths.
Thanks. The oil temp was creeping up slowly. Enough for me to back out of it for a lap and let it catch up. I honestly don't know if that is "hot" for this platform, or normal. They debuted the car at Nurburgring, so I'm sure it's had more than enough track time. I'd imagine it's normal, but can't really say since not many others have tracked their Stingers on road courses.
And before that debut, they designed and tested AT the Ring. Kia's development and test site was/is on the main straight. They debuted the car at Nurburgring

Lol. The way I drive, I'd finish a 24 hour race on the same brakes and tires, and the brakes would be "practically new" and the tires would still be at "80%". But my straightaway speeds would be impressive. That is sort of why I think the oil temp isn't an issue. I'm probably not the same quality driver as a factory test driver, so I'm sure they "milked" the car a little harder than I can.
Larry H. Miller raceway? (aka Utah Motorsports Campus) Wide Open Wednesday? Utah Driving Event on the Racetrack or Autocross Course at UMC I'm tempted. The way I drive I'd expect to use up the last 3mm of my Pilot Sport 4s, but not have any trouble with my brakes.Thx for taking the time to write this up. I’m getting ready to track my stinger in a few weeks. I’ve never done that with any car at any point before. Anything you can suggest I do other than keep an eye on the oil temp? Should I look at doing anything about the brake pads? What kind of wear should I expect on the tires?

That's the one I'm getting ready to install.@Callum here you go. This will definitely help when you go back in the summer.
2018+ Stinger 3.3 Engine Oil Cooler Kit with optional Secondary Radiator
According to Brembo they require a minimum of 19" rim's. The Stinger GT 420 got the upgrade. I think it takes a little modification, but is possible. Please let us know how hard the oil cooler upgrade is to install. Do you still have stock FMIC? I'm curious if the oil cooler will interfere.
There's a brake upgrade kit? What size wheels are needed? Will stock 19s clear?

Just search for Brembo upgrade kit for GT.
https://www.autoanything.com/brakes/61A2861A0A0.aspxDo you have a link? I would be interested in increasing the size of the rotors. Assuming they are 2 piece. It doesn't make sense to have a larger 1 pc, unless it can dissipate heat faster.
I'm trying genesis g80 to see what it comes up with
