Well, each time somebody asks this I have to say NONE. This is my first ever brand new car. And I had no intentions of buying a new car ever in my life. I was seduced. By KIA, of all things!
The Stinger's dash dials are a pretty nice effort in current form. The blend of traditional dials that look modern and the largish info screen in-between, is a good blend.I couldn't find other threads....sorry for the redundancy.....I think I'm trying every reason NOT to get it but I keep getting seduced also....wanna see if the 2020 has the k900's virtual dash!
The dials are pretty cool in the stinger's cockpit. The blend of traditional dial (older school) that look modern and the largish info screen in-between, is a good blend.
Audi. Rs3 or S5. Etc. looked at beemahs too.
Sorry, on topic ... we have less options in Aus and as a buyer I'm a little different, as this was a third car option for our family, not a daily driver.True but any thoughts on thread title?....lol
I was all-in for either the Q50 Sport or the Audi 5 Sportback. Thought about a BMW 3 or 4 series. I REALLY wanted the S5 Sportback, but didn't want to drop that kind of coin. Then I drove a GT2. Blew the Q50 and A5 out of the water IMHO, and I felt like I got most/all of the what the S5 offered (albeit a 1/2 notch down in interior quality) for close to $20K less. So far, no regrets.
I never thought about getting a car like the Stinger until I saw the Stinger on the showroom floor when getting the Sorento. I looked at S5, RS5, Q50 Sport and a few others but I was already smitten with the Stinger. Only one other vehicle really checked off most of the blocks, but none as well as the Stinger, and that one was about 50% more expensive.Realizing how great the Stinger line is, I'm curious to see what others considered prior to purchasing..... Audi A5, is350, Regal HB, Dodge Charger etc,etc ?
I came from a 2016 Q50 3.0T , nice car, everything minus Android auto. Just was not sporty enough! If they make a RS400 and get Android Auto I would consider it. Also considered Audi RS3 and Camaro. Both are on the table when my lease is done, my goal was 400hp did that can haul a kid around in the back haha![]()
Value for the money and warranty. That and the current cycle of cars are starting to look the same and hideous.Price, amenities, warranty.....what was the final push to go with the new kid on the block?
The warranty was also a plus as was the finance rates. Value was a factor as it should always be. Most important was how well it checked off all the boxes better than anything near its price could do. It's also gorgeous, easily the best looking in its class. And it was new. Few have these.Value for the money and warranty. That and the current cycle of cars are starting to look the same and hideous.
It was no question about "let's look at other cars, if you're thinking about this." It was the Stinger. I liked what I saw, then what I read, all of it. And the package worked on me, wore me down and I caved after the test drive.![]()
