Installed the SXTH Element Dual Catch Cans today! Shout out to Tanner and the engineering team for designing such an awesome product. Quality and fit are spot on. Love the extra touch of having the GT bracket up front.

I don't know how I missed this thread. Awesome job. What made you choose this over other brands?

Hi I am researching currently on catch cans. Can you tell what made you choose this over other brands?

I chose them for the detail in the manufacturing and the fit and finish. They definitely add an element to the engine bay while also being functional. Definitely check out their website www.sxthelement.com

I also got their oil cap, you can see it in the pictures!

Ease of emptying the can and design.

By design you mean just the looks or something else? Any idea about the filter element, compared to others?

Sorry for so many questions, I am still in initial phase of my research and don't know what to look for in oil catch can in first place.

Yes, id does look nicely build and fit and finish looks top notch. I was looking for catch cans, went to stingerforum.org, someone posted can't wait for these to come then I searched and found they are already out. The was searching more info and found this thread. Usually I don't miss threads like these, don't know how I missed it.

Oil cap looks cool.

Currently I am most concerned about filter element, just need confirmation that it's best then I am going to move forward with these over ADD W1.

If you go to their website they have an explanation of their engineering. It’s a 40 micron filter.

I think that means it catches part above 40 microns, when I said I am concerned about filter element I meant the capacity, durability, maintenance and replacement.

Looks really good and te added touch of the bracket really sets it apart. Great job!

What made you get these over the Tork OCC?

It really just came down to how they looked. I had good interactions with Tanner at SXTH Element also. They mainly work on KDM so they have experience with the GDI engines.

These look great, how do you empty them? Just twist off or do you have to unmount everything? Thanks.

You can just twist them off

Bout to install these CCs. Thanks for your pics ChiTownStinger. For the check valve install, is the attached pic correct (red arrow corresponding with the imprinted arrow on the valve)? Pretty sure this is right, just want to be 100% sure. Thanks.
