PRESSERtech Kia Stinger GT Dyno RESULTS!!

Ok need to call BS on this one. How can you tune for mods you don't have yet? Sure you can, just dont put the peddle down until you actually have the parts. Agressive boost and timing before you have the parts will end badly. This and with stock plugs. Good luck! Isn't this why every tumer out there has stages to match your upgrades?
Honestly this cars ECU is so adaptive I don't think it'd make a big difference. I don't know Kia, but I think for the mods he is getting they wouldn't add boost or timing specifically for the mods (they will adjust both however they normally would for no mods). They just need to adjust the VE to get the fuel trims closer to 0. I don't know Kia, like I said though, so this car's ECU scheme could be totally different from what I know.

And as far as plugs go, they are adjusting the coil voltage up so that different plugs/gaps aren't required. I'm assuming they are running a more moderate boost level than the more aggressive tunes or the plugs would most likely require changing still.

Edit: I reread every post from PRESSERtech in this thread and couldn't find a post about them changing spark energy via the ECU tune. Maybe I am confusing this with another post from Facebook or another tuner but I will revoke the comment about the plugs since I have no evidence

I can understand your point. I took the man at his word as he knows more about these things than i do. I'm going to give it a go and see what happens.

My understanding is most gains from the ECU will be achieved in the initial tune. The ECU will adapt performance to the normal mods we do such as CAIs, cat back exhaust changes, etc that we do. Major changes, such as larger turbos, downpipes (borderline), larger intercooler, meth/racing fuel and the like will require an additional ECU tune that Pressertech will execute in order to tap into the significantly expanded potential.

The only other tuners are Tork Motorsports and they are sketchy company to say the least....I feel like they might go more aggressive tuning but i am thinking about my car in the long run.....Tork tunes hyunday's, mazda's...PresserTech is been tuning high end Mercedes its a big difference no disrespect from anyone....I am going to give Presertech a chance on their tune but since i have intake, downpipe, muffker delete and will be getting intercooler i want to make sure he tunes specifically for that...I hope Presertech keep putting research and improving his tune and threats the Kia market like he does with his Mercedes...If he does we will be just fine you see he offer free flashes back to stock and free flashes if he improves the tune....FYI Tork does not do that LOL well at least he didnt when i asked them....

Presertech if someone has intercooler, downpipes, mufler delete, and intakes can you adjust the tune accordingly without having the car physically ?? please educate me...

Way back when....
I was one of the initial guys playing around with Ford fuel injection back in '86. Everyone told us that we we're stuck with factory tuning. We found that the eec v would adapt to bigger heads, cams, exhaust, ect.
That was 30 years ago....

Food for thought.

I'm sure your car will still rip and you will enjoy it. It just has more potential.
Also see if they have ever tuned a Stinger with these same types of parts, othewise the are just making educated guesses.
This is true, it will most likely be an educated guess. But he also said if he can improve it after the mods he will for free.

I guess it is somewhat of a gamble, but I wouldn't be worried too much about it.

I'm sure that it will be just fine. I am looking for a cleanly modded OEM like car. I am not looking to squeeze every last HP as the cost of reliability.
I won't be drag racing or going to the track, but i will be enjoying this as my DD and opening up on occasion when conditions permit.

I don't feel this is a gamble. Pressertech has a history of tuning Mercedes and other high end cars, i believe he knows what he's doing. He also guarantees his work and will re-flash at no charge, i would just pay shipping. I get my ECU back Monday and i will post up results (butt dyno & driving impressions) shortly thereafter.

I'm either going with PRESSERtech or Tork for my tune when I get one. Just gonna wait until I have more miles on my car and more people have more miles with tunes on theirs. That way any possible issues that could arise will before I hop aboard

Pretty certain an ecu tune cannot up the coil voltage.
I was 100% sure that somewhere I saw a post about upping the spark energy via the tune. I reread through this entire thread though and saw no comment on this from PRESSERtech so I don't have any evidence and can't remember where I saw this. For now I will take back wjat I said and maybe there is no additional energy to the plugs via the ECU tunes.

Ideally Kia had to deal with enough issues from just normal bone stock owners due to the plugs that they actually just start giving the cars better ones from the factory, and this can become a non issue.

OK, I talked to Todd regarding my tune.
I got a stage 2 tune for factory equipment with minor bolts-ons.
Hopefully this will clear up any confusion regarding my earlier post.

For PresserTech? Start by checking google reviews which has very recent info...For PreserTech i was looking for any negative review and i was looking hard and I could nit find anything negative you know what they say once you get happy customers they usually dont post.....In the other hand for tork just google up Tork motorsports review and you will all the negative stuff about prior tunes and customer service in numerous hyundai forums......and i dont think is coincidence or fake news as some will say lol

pressertech reviews - Google Search,,,
thats is the google reviers for presertech and check the facebook reviews as well these guys are amazing...FYI i dont know presertech or have their tune

Update on my PRESSERTech tune :

I'm close to 4,000 miles on it and still love it. I pulled two plugs, and they are perfect. No issues, just happiness.

Using my torque pro app, I ran a 3.99 0-60. With the Dragy I am not able to find a level enough piece of ground to get a valid output, but that's okay, I know this thing is real darn quick. However, the Dragy was able to prove my odometer correct.

just got my ECU delivered from USPS.
I will be putting back in my car after work.

This thread is for discussion of the tune offered by PRESSERtech, feel free to start other threads in the regular tuning forum if you would like to discuss tunes from other vendors, etc.

PRESSERTECH Tune results

After re-installing my ECU i took my car for a spin in Sport mode
Holy Crap! I love this tune.
The car is smooth and powerful in a clean factory sort of way.
When i floored it, it had a great aggressive sound and perfectly smooth power being delivered very quickly.
My car is completely stock as i have not added my mods yet.
Looking forward to installing my ARK GRiP exhaust this weekend. Jonny Tig FMIC & CAI should be here in 1-2 weeks.
BTW, Todd Presser is a class act. He answered all of my questions via email promptly before and during my tune. He called me after my ECU was delivered to make sure i got it. He also called me after i texted him that I installed the ECU back in the car, he wanted to know how i liked it.
I am super happy with my PRESSERTECH tune. In regards to bang for your buck, this is my best mod.
