wow great gas mileage!!

What's the big deal here? I get 42mpg all day on the highway doing 80kph
Sure you do. And in the lower 48 you would get splattered on someone's grille doing 49 mph on the highway. :)

Lol dear hubby sitting in no control seat grabbing the sissy handle and telling me to slow down.......this was my first long freeway drive. going from a prius than a rav to a stinger.

He wants to put a super charger in his Camaro, even with 426 hp he is "afraid" mine is faster. He has never had a women he was with have a faster car than his.
It does have more hp than his Corvette 50th yr anniversary model.

But his 87 z28 has 650 hp full roll cage. not a street driver darn twitchy.

Your car IS faster. Especially if that Camaro is a manual.

here in tennessee, and some other states, the legal minimum speed for a 70 mph interstate is 55 mph.. . of course it changes by state, some states have as low as a 30 mph minimum.. of course, even doing 55 mph probably could net us ~~35mpg in our cars..

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

Note that when Aus uses MPG, they use Imperial gallons, which are ~20% larger than US Gallons. 36MPG in Aus (or anywhere outside of the USA) = 30 MPG in the USA.

So an Australian 42 MPG at 80kph = USA 35 MPG at 50mph, which seems reasonable to me.

Also, there are plenty of highways (probably not freeways) with 50mph limits, even in the USA.

Shhhhhhhhhh don't tell him, his is a automatic, only around 16k miles on it. Poor hubby.................

I've been surprised with the mileage of my new GT2. My normal mixed driving returned a consistent 22.0 with my former 2.0t Stinger, and I expected a good bit worse with the 3.3tt. To my surprise, I got 20.9 on my first tank, and I'm in the same range now on the second one.

So it looks like I'm just giving up 1mpg in mixed driving by going to the V6. Now, highway mileage will probably be worse if my experience mirrors that of the rest of you guys, but that remains to be seen in this locked-down Covid 19 world we live in now.

I don't know... I consistently get over 25mpg when in eco with cruise. Even without, it's up there! If it's a short highway stint I don't use cruise, but 30+ mile trips you can only blast past so many people before sense creeps in. :p

I managed 27.7 in ECO on a 60+ mile highway round trip that included some city and country roads on either end. I'm impressed with that.

My commute home today...
Had 31.3 until I got to my neighborhood. Might have been better had I not started the drive in Sport.

I got 31.0 on a trip from home to Albany. 6 mi back roads/city and 31 highway. I never expected that from the 3.3. Crushes even my 4 cyl Subies...even though they're 'tuned'....lol!

Yeah, I didn't buy the car thinking it would get decent mileage (or really caring if it did), but after 30 minutes (or more, usually) of commuting, sometimes it's the little things that make the day.

Mornings I'm generally able to get out ahead of others and the economy drops as my cruising speed rises, still averaging something like 26-27 commutes, 25 overall.

Can't complain.

That's about what I would get.

No in Australia we use L/100km.
5.6L/100km = 42 USA MPG

Right, was mentioning that in response to a specific post from an aus member who used MPG though. I guess it depends on if he was converting L/100km to US MPG or Imperial MPG, or was measuring gallons directly for some reason.
