Kia shocked a lot of people when it pulled the sheet off the Kia Stinger earlier this year, and things only got better once folks got a chance to sit down in the most comfortable vehicle Kia has ever built. Offered here in the U.S. with a 255-horsepower four-cylinder or a 365-horsepower V-6, the newest four-door on the block is set to compete against models like the BMW 4 Series, the Audi A5 Sportback, and even models like the Lexus GS or Infiniti Q50. But, what if Kia didn’t stop there? What if it wanted to take on the two-door segment too? Well, there’s no reason at all that it shouldn’t, and we decided to give Kia a head start by designing our own take on what a Kia Stinger Coupe would look like.

When the Stinger we all know and lust for (that’s weird to say about anything with a Kia badge, right?) has four doors, our coupe has an extended front door and a large chunk of rear quarter glass that hints toward the best passenger room of any two-door currently on the market. Plus, it retains that rear hatch and sharp roofline that makes the four-door model so attractive. I've always liked coupes so I'm definitely love to see a two door Stinger. Unfortunately, they don't seem to sell well these days. I hardly ever see an Altima coupe or Accord coupe - but everyone has the sedan versions. There aren't many coupes left but I do appreciate the few that are...

Yes, yes, yes, gimme a 2+2 <3

Just change the shape of a rear quarter. All those raindrop rear shapes are getting boring, even if they are perfect aerodynamically.
It doesn't have to drop to the flat trunk cover, but make it look a bit lighter, less busy.

Kia Stinger coupe looks like it would weight around 5000lbs, whereas Subaru SVX looks more like 3000lbs car.
In fact, both shouldn't be more than 400lbs apart in roadworthy state.

With the current "SUV/CUV craze" its hard to make a business case to sell a new sedan, never mind a coupe. I don't see many coupe versions of family sedans but I do see a good number of BMW 428/30/35/40i's, Audi A/S/RS5's, C-class coupes, Infiniti Q60's, etc.

I bet a Kia SUV using a Stinger-like formula would sell pretty well. One in the compact to mid-size range where the upper trim model uses the 3.3T to compete with other V6-equipped models in the lux class (SQ5's, X3's, F-Pace's, Macan S's,GLC43's, etc.)

This car is already a pretty large sedan. I can't imagine wanting a coupe version of it.

I think it's inevitable, and Stinger will have a 2 door coupe companion in the next 2-3 years. I think its a great idea and there always a market for these types of cars, makes feel/look even more sporty.

I have a 2 door coupe now and I just never knew how important four doors are lol. I will never own a 2 door again, unless I have multiple vehicles.
