Today after 10 hours I managed to install a towbar on my 2019 Kia Stinger. It was tedious only because I had never done it before. However it is on and it is nearly invisible once the tow ball itself is removed. Very nice and very happy with how it came out and how it looks. Specifically got it for a bike rack which I got with it.

It comes with a wiring kit and mostly it is all run and ready to go. Through using a clamp amp meter I managed to figure out the indicators for both sides and also the standard rear night light (red light but not brake light).

The only wiring I am able to clamp onto is the ones that go into the lower lighting of the boot. The wiring dives straight into the boot behind the light.

I am basically stuck trying to find the reverse lights (white lights) and the brake lights (brighter red lights)

There is that much wiring in the boot that I am sure there is a solution to this problem. I have searched this forum and google for more than an hour looking for wiring diagrams and anything related and I get nothing.

Please. If anyone can help. I would really appreciate it.

I am in Australia if that changes anything.

Thanks!

Hi mate did you have any luck with the wiring kit?

Is yours a genuine Kia tow bar ? If so did it come with instructions
Thanks Adam

Each time I bought a genuine Commodore towbar and wiring kit from the GM dealer it came with complete instructions. I would expect the Australian Kia Dealer kit does the same.
