I finally got my car back from the shop after fixing an issue with my springs, and of course I get another issue.

It was raining out, passenger side starts dripping water and driver’s side upper felt part is very wet. No idea how this could’ve happened, I’m assuming I would need my car resealed. I have no idea if this correlated to taking my car to this shop which I doubt because they worked on my springs, but still very sad. Let me know if anyone else has ever experienced this problem, I appreciate it.

Windshield ever replaced? That's all I've got.

Wow...I just had this same issue come up yesterday after 2 years! 2019 GT1 with no damage, no windshield issues previously. After finding the dripping I investigated some more while driving. If I push up on either side of the rear view mirror while driving I can hear wind coming in.
Let me know what you come up with as a fix...I will keep you posted on my findings!

check sunroof drains.

Throwing masking tab over the seal on my windshield for now when it rains as a temporary fix. Will probably take it to the dealership soon, should be covered by my warranty.

Ethan7193,

Did you ever take it into the dealership to get the windshield fixed? I just went to a touch free car wash and it was almost raining along the top of the windshield where the headliner starts.

took it to my Kia dealership, I’ve had so many problems with them. I made an appointment to fix it, just for them to update my ECU for a recall and tell me they can’t fix windshields. Now I have water damage on my leather armrest and can’t even get it fixed since my car is being fixed with a new steering rack being thrown on. Thankfully my warranty will cover the armrest and windshield though.

Had a lot of rain lately in the northeast. Just got the car used in January. 19 GT2.

Went out to my car earlier this week and see drops of water on the passenger seat. I feel the roof and it’s damp where the windshield meets the roof. Feels wet around passenger side visor/mirror as well as the center sunroof controls/sunglass holder piece.
Also feels wet passenger side sunroof as well.

Not sure exactly where the leak is but have an appointment on the 11th. Hoping it’s not a ridiculously expensive fix.

I have a 2019 Stinger GT (no sunroof). Just this morning, I noticed that the passenger dash and floor were wet after a medium night rain. Earlier in the week we had a bad rain, my car was dry the next morning. To my knowledge, I haven't had the window replaced, but certainly nothing recent. On the outside, I see a bit less trim on the passenger side near the roof. Yet when I go inside the car, this section is bone dry. The only interior water on the windshield is down by the dash. Maybe it just collects there?

I will call the dealer. Because KIA dealers are straight from the devil, can my car insurance (USAA) pick this up?

edit 1: Dealer said they can look at it today at noon, $189 inspection fee but this is waived if under wtty. If not, it gets added to whatever the repair is

Looks like seal replacement time. You've got cracks up and down both seals, and that isn't just "a bit less" than the other side, it looks like a bite out of your seal. Of course the labor will be the same as when the windshield get replaced because the glass has to come out. I have no idea what that cost is but it ain't going to be cheap. Maybe under "replace windshield" of your insurance they will cover that minus your deductible. I hope it all works out for you.

it wont be in wtty? I read kia has a 6 year/36k. I'm at 5 year/25k

If your still under bumper to bumper you should be covered then.

How did your windshield seals end up looking so trashed?

no idea, prob. because it sits outside and not in our 1 car garage. Anyways, dealer got back to me and said that it was because the AC evap line is clogged. The window shield seals are just fine. $189 for the diag + $170 for the evap fix.

I did ask them to submit a claim to kia asking to fix the bad seals. May as well do it now since its free if they will

Same problem, got it from kia fort Wayne Indiana with a CPO warranty motor blew 5wks later...3 different types of white and lights come on and off, car shakes when breaking, car shakes going at 70mph, ...i believe they got it from auction sold it to me before having it inspected

Yeah neither kia nor USAA would cover this. Paid a local place like $150 or so to fix it
