What about the paint warranty? Could they deny it even if there isn’t any damage? Could they say that the new badge voids the paint warranty regardless of how it was installed?

I'd like to know this too. Will have to contact my dealer. I suspect the warranty between the US and UK allows for different things. I'd bet a million dollars in the UK Kia won't allow it since it requires holes being sealed. UK is super stingy when it comes to "we like our customers" things like this.

The paint warranty isn't monolithic: a badge does not cover paint failure on the hood, for instance. Each paint quality issue is a separate case. And badge removal would not impact any case involving some other area of the car.

I really like the 14" Stinger logo so I am going to add that for sure. Also, really like the Kia Motors blue hood badge. I got some other overlays but not sure I am going to use them. Going to hold them up and see if I like them.

The positive rep for Kia is only going to increase swiftly. You change the KIA badge not out of self consciousness of what others might be thinking, but because you don't like the design. You keep it on for the same reason. I am not impressed with any badges on any cars; they're just a traditional detail, expected to be there, so manufacturers put them on. I'm interested in what appears to me to be an increasing number of debadged vehicles of all kinds. The "clean look" seems to be gaining in popularity.

Leave it on: and more people will say, "A Kia, it must be a good car, then!" The more time goes by, the more people will be saying that. (However, if the KIA badge is ugly for you, no amount of public acclaim for the brand is going to change your aesthetics. )

Replaced all Kia Logos... E badge on rims, front and back and replaced steering wheel Kia symbol with GT badge. Not ashamed... Owned an optima, cadenza, sorrento and sportage. But their logo sucks. And when people ask I don't say it's a Stinger. I say it's a Kia Stinger. And almost every time the response is... Wait that's a Kia!?!? YUP! Then I give em a wink and zoom off...

Totally agree, I did the E badge on the front, the big Stinger logo on the back, I also added the 3.3T from the G80 on the trunk above the AWD emblem. Did the GT on the steering wheel and red GT on the rims (matches the Brembo red). I get the same response when I tell them what it is.

I decided that I was either going to keep or change ALL the badges because a partial debadge would just be a halfhearted attempt at concealing what it is. That being said I think I'm going to end up swapping everything because I already found myself ordering the rear Stinger script and the steering wheel cover

So far I have debadged everything on the back and then added the 14" script. Then replaced the front with blue kia motors badge which nicely matches my blue stinger. Still debating on the wheels and steering wheel.

I’ve got the E badges proudly flying front and back, GT emblems everywhere else.
No Kia showing anywhere (except on the glass,) LOL!
It actually drives home the fact that it is a Kia. When someone comes up to check out the car, it’s like a drum roll happening in my brain every time up to the point of exclaiming the name, KIA! Then I explain that the E badge stands for engineering in excellence (true) and is how the car is actually badged in its country of origin. Then the positive replies flow. The stinger name remains on mine. I think anybody on the road that notices this will Google that name and that leads them right back to those three letters.
Got to say, I’ve noticed some on this forum kind of whining and complaining about some shortcomings of this car. So I feel like I have to counter it with my reality.
It is awesome and I love it. Driving home on the ice and snow tonight, I am again blown away with its sheer ability to grip the icy road even with my standard all season tires. I have owned several 4WD vehicles over the years and nothing inspires confidence while driving in this icebox state than this car. After eight months of owning the car and almost 9000 miles I can say I am still very impressed with this car -across the board.

It’s not just Kia owners who change their badges. I see Chevy owners swapping to Holden badges and Buick owners swapping to Opel badges. It’s just a way to set your car apart from the thousands of similar cars on the road. For how long did Toyotas ride around with Lexus badges here in the USA while they all wore Toyota badges in Japan? Badge engineering has been going on for decades. Especially at GM.

I think the only badge I never messed with was the Subaru emblem on the front of my WRX. Every other vehicle I've owned I've messed with the badge in some way, whether modifying it or just removing it all together.

I purchased the front "E" and back "Stinger" emblems, not because I'm embarrassed of the Kia brand, but simply because these OEM alternatives look more slick. If people ask what car brand it is I'll be proud to tell them it's a Kia.

I've seen a few videos on replacing the front and back emblems. While it looks easy enough as a DIY I've never replaced emblems before so I'm somewhat hesitant on doing it myself. I have the tools (e.g., heat gun, removal tool, goo gone). I purchased 2 of each in case I mess up the first go around.

I guess the question is whether to do it myself or take it to a professional body shop.
