Pretty sure he meant the base model gt. Still has the
3.3tt.
As far as collectability (who the heck knowns exactly?) My 20yo Ford Lightning has hit collector status and they actually made quite a few gen 2 Lightnings. Some color combos they made less of so some of those are the more desirable ones but they basically all got the same stuff and they made a lot of em. Mine was passed to me from my Pop's so I could care less about the collectability of it since I know I'll NEVER sell it. Unless I'm in a bad spot and I really, really need the money. I turned down 21 grand last summer for it. I think there's other cars in the Stingers price range that will be more collectable. For instance, Chevy SS/Pontiac G8 gxp will be more collectable than the Stinger for obvious reasons. Good luck finding a low mileage one though. I'm sure they're out there though.
The scorpion doesn't offer much as far as a difference from a standard gt2 does it? I know it doesn't get a power boost, which is what it needs, shoulda came with 400hp stock if you ask me. I saw one at the dealership and the only parts I like are the wheels and tips. Something that's easily changed, spoiler is a downgrade imo and I like spoilers, just not a fan of the scorpion one. I feel like the new Grand Tourer model is better. I haven't seen it in person but I believe it has all the black stuff that the scorpion has but it also gets red
seat belts, red stiching on the seats and dash, also gets suede interior and no ugly spoiler.
I think the indigo blue special edition was a 500 unit run. GTS was 800, which is funny because I've seen my fair share of Scorpions even though the production run is what, 250? Have seen very few Indigo blue and yellow Stingers.
