Who will update to the facelift Stinger?

Unlikely. There is a huge problem right now dealing with extraction and processing of rare earth metals. Unless the West gets super chummy with China, and opens up Greenland and other areas to extraction those targets are going to be improbable to hit.

By the time my lease is up in Sept 2022, there will be other interesting cars for around the price point of a GT2. I am also keeping an eye out for the BMW i4 if I go the EV route. The competition at that price point will definitely get more interesting.

The new Kia EV 0 to 60 in 3 sec will destroy any M3 or M4.

If I could swap out the infotainment screen from the ‘22 into my ‘21, I’d have zero desire to change. I prefer the ‘21 wheels and tail light/exhaust look, and I also don’t love the watch chain look of the new seats. The additional ambient lighting would be nice, but not a big deal at all.

Not for another year or two. I'm certainly considering it, but I'm also going to be paying attention to Genesis and Audi. It also depends on my career track by that point. I can afford more car than the Stinger now, but if I can get into an S7 as easily as I can the Stinger today, I'm getting the S7.

Question is...how easy will it be to upgrade the infotainment and at what cost? Like you, I am thinking if that can be done and add an exhaust upgrade then maybe financially buying out the lease is the best route!

If I was shopping for new cars today and could have got an amazing bargain on a 2022 GT-RWD then I would have gone with the facelifted... I fear that I would lose a bit of money if I were to sell/trade/drop my 2020 GT-RWD for a 2022 GT-RWD right now...

I think someone said the GT was discontinued and the new GT1 is taking it's place. Maybe I read that wrong or misunderstood though.

It's more like the new GT1 is the GT renamed; and the GT2 is the only trim with the features that the current GT1 has.

Well, it's more complicated than that, but it does seem like the GT1 lost more features than it gained. It actually worked out great for me because I wanted a GT with a sunroof. Only thing I think I will miss is the ventilated seats.
