I wasn’t aware of the Fiat Scorpion... till now. Thanks for that. I’ll stick with my initial thoughts on this... besides, the likelihood Fiat will be in the automotive business much longer is - well - debatable. db

I'm not in love with the name that Kia attached to our car. it's kind of juvenile. But then, car enthusiasts are just a pack of oversized boys anyway (and girls, I hasten to add). I like to say that Kia "stung the competition" with the Stinger, and that makes its name apropos.

Personally, I like the Stinger name. And I'm happy the car has a NAME and not a number or series of letters. 3 Series, C Class, CTS-V, TLX, MKZ ... BORING! Cayman, Vanquish, Huracan, Challenger, Viper ... these are cool names. I think Stinger fits in nicely.

I like the Stinger name. There is not only flying insects but there is a Beetle that stings and don't forget a couple of fish, like the Lion Fish and Scorpion Fish, but somehow I think they lack the " punch " to serve the " Stinger " name well.
