when should i rotate my tires ?

Conti, and others, tell you to consult the owners manual for your specific vehicle.

Do you know what "playing coy" means? "I know the answer but I don't want to tell you". Seriously?

If you can help answer his question why don't you just help? Isn't that what this community is all about? Or are you just hear to police Stinger owners?

Again, OP, 4-6k miles is usually a good place to start. I won't bother telling you what my manual says because my car came with different tires. I also don't suggest you rely solely on your manual because I have a sneaking suspicions that Kia regurgitated lots of the info in the manuals regardless of markets or differences in vehicles.

Ever hear the term "teach a man to fish"?

I can answer *this* question by posting the page from the manual, but perhaps others will realize *other* questions can be answered by looking it up as well.. it is a big manual, but it also has an index (and the PDF version is searchable)..

Oh, not here to police Stinger owners - just to help police the rowdy members, owners or not.. ;)

I'd say somewhere safe, on a wet surface at at least 120 kmph...oh wait, that's "rotate the car...". My bad.

I wonder if some maroon wannabe mechanic working the lower tier in a Kia shop has rotated the 19s diagonally yet? How would that signify to the driver? You have kattycorner 8" treads and kattycorner 8.5" treads. What would that do to the handling?

I don't see how rotating the 19" wheels will balance tire ware. Front to back and drive wheel to non-drive wheel on a RWD car would/could balance tire ware. IMO.

This thread is wearing me out! Lol
Hang on... i will rotate.... ah thats better! Lol
Oops now my fats are at the front!

Watch out when you pee, dude.. could be uncomfortable..

Sometimes I read these forums and I get a great sense of pride with ownership and camaraderie. Then, sometimes I read these forums and I think "I guess some people get pissed off easily because some people don't like to read the fvkin manual all day long". Then, I think... "but I don't even like fish!"

It's like reading directions, I can figure that out, now back to the tables. Good luck.

I've been involved in a few different forums over the years and most of the time they are very helpful.
Sometimes I wish people would just follow that old saying-" if you don't have anything good to say about someone just don't say anything at all!"

All good! Im still reading my manual....its an epic!

Yeah, his rear (wider) tires are rotated to the front. Somebody screwed up. I want to know what happens when that happens, especially when you have one wider and one narrower tire opposite each other, because some poltroon does the kattycorner rotation and doesn't know it's a staggered setup.

He was being sarcastic. I'm pretty sure he's not even talking about tires.

I enjoy playing along, taking euphemisms literally. It increases the humor.

I still want someone to answer my question.
