When I called tire rack the guy sounded downright frustrated. I could tell he'd had a bad day telling people "I don't have a timeframe for you" on backordered tires. Sucks.
Just wondering if anyone can confirm if an 18 x 8 wheel with a +35 offset will fit with a 235/45/18 tire? Looking to replace all four 19" rims with a square setup and more sidewall to try to live with the bad roads around here.

Can't "confirm" (as in empirical experience) but that sounds about perfect. You could go as wide as 245 without sidewall flex starting to become an issue.

Perhaps "confirm" was too much on my part. I should have asked if anyone would "concur" That this setup sounds ok. Just trying to avoid any unforeseen issue. I appreciate the input
The time has come for new tires. Was looking to go all season with the Conti DWS stock size. Looks like none are available in Canada and the tire rack price delivered is way to high considering I will still have to pay for mounting and balancing. This morning the guy at Sorat told me I could go with 245 40 19 front and 275 35 19 rear. Anyone running these sizes or have any thoughts on them. Thx.

8/34 is stock front, so those wheels easily fit, the rear is a lot more accommodating than the front. Then the tires, which are only 10mm wider than OEM. This is well within what can fit on the car.

I had similar concerns, albeit on a gtline. 245/40/18 on stock 18 x 8.0 fits fine in terms of clearing the strut. I would also expect a 245/45/18 to fit. I think you'll be ok with your 235/45/18. I opted the size in my sig to stay as true as possible to stock diameter/revs per mile. Michelin PS AS4 in a 235/45/18 has an overall diameter of 26.7" vs 25.9" stock. Should still be ok.

Can anyone help with hub centric ring size? One of mine broke and i need a new one. Aftermarket wheel is niche misano 19x9.5 bore 72.56 backspace 6.63 offset 35mm
New wheels day! These things are so light for their size it's incredible. I appreciate the burr on the barrel, because I plan to beat on these tires. Awesome finish - some prominent flake, which I plan to deepen with a ceramic coating.
Shipping was a bit of a thing. Customs held them up for a while, then had to cut a check on delivery. Inner lip is a little chuffed up but the faces were clean. And they fit in the G70!
Got some Thicc Bois today. Much earlier than expected! Can't wait to get them installed. Next WE, probably.
The 15+ 1/4 mile is with the Lozic ECU and boost by mode. Was experimenting around with the feature with Lozic before it became an official feature, and just found the default boost setting of 0.3bar in Eco amusing. That's full throttle, with launch control. Just amusingly slow. These days he'll do a bunch of different settings, like 0.9 Eco/1.2 comfort/1.5 sport, or 1.2 Eco/1.2 comfort/1.5 sport, but right now I'm still on 0.3 Eco/1.0 Comfort/1.4 sport. Still amused by it but wouldn't recommend these settings to someone that doesn't appreciate slow for the novelty.
Just for fun I put on my 235/40/19 winter tires on that are mounted to the stock 8"front wheels. I think it looks pretty good IMHO. The car certainly looks better when the front and rear tires match. I'm actually thinking about getting some stock fronts and getting some all season tires for all four wheels. The roads are so bad around here every time I hit a pothole (moon size crater in these parts) I'm sure I'm going to bend a rim and some softer tires with a little more meat on them would help a lot. I've had to get two alignments this summer already.
^^I had to go into the city proper today for some things. Drivers behind me must think i'm a drunk driver. All over the place in the lane. Some of the expressways are even worse (i94 south). Sometimes have to be halfway over in the next lane to avoid the potholes.
I94 is actually a pretty robust road, it's mostly concrete through the city. Sad to see ID(i)OT hasn't maintained it well.
Was looking into buying a used set of wheels, they came off a RWD stinger so im going to assume there will be no fitment issue. My concern is making sure that the tires that i run on them will be for the awd system to be okay. It currently has 245,35r19 front & 295,30r19 rears. The rims are 19x8.5 + 37 fronts and 19x11 +52 rears. Everything im coming up with seems that the diameter of this setup is pretty dialed in to the original wheels just want to make sure i wont be damaging the awd system. Seems the 255,35r19 is the best option for diameter as it stays exactly at 26" or 660mm, but am wondering if they would clear. Any help is much appreciated!!
Braelin BR14 and Michelin PS4S. No spacers, no suspension mods. AWD.
Front 19x8.5 et30 with 245/35. 24lb rim, 22.5lb tire
Rear 19x9.5 et42 with 285/30. 25lb rim, 22.0 lb tire
Didn't measure any weights, those are just the specs.
First of all, these look mean. The dish in the rear is just more pronounced than the front to give it a real M4-like stance. And the width of the rear wheels with the offset looks beautifully squat. The fronts look great off-angle, too, despite little dish. The flush is absolutely perfect to my eyes. I think some might like a tiny bit more poke to callt his 100% flush but I don't want to push it. These won't rub no matter what you do (I bottomed out the suspension to be sure lol). The finish is awesome! They have a tiny bit of a texture, so not quite gloss, but after ceramic coating them that texture turns full flake. Multi-colored, sparkly flake, just like the Vik Black paint on the body (though perhaps a higher concentration of flakes). I went back to my detailer to show him and he said wheels rarely match this well when it's intentional. It looks custom matched.
In terms of feel, these are exactly the PSS I remember from my GTI. A bit numb in the hands on-center, but track straight, weigh up in turns and are super responsive in each accel/brake/turn axis. I was a little concerned going from neutral to slightly positive scrub radius on front and rear but it feels excellent loaded up in a turn. I can't get over 7/10ths on rural roads without being obnoxiously stupid, but the scrub feels really neutral front to rear. Just highlights how shit the A/S tires are, more than anything. No tramlining I can discern on the asphalt. TBD on concrete.
