I've tried to do some reading on wheel fitments, and I've learned some, but there is still a ton I really don't know, and I know there's a wealth of knowledge on here that would be very beneficial to someone like me.

My front tires need replacing, and I figured if I'm ever going to get aftermarket rims, when I need new tires is a pretty ideal time to do it.

I would like to go wider in both the front and rear for both performance reasons (probably not too much of a difference) and aesthetic reasons. I've spent a decent amount of time looking through the gallery on Fitment Industries' website, trying to see what sizes other Stinger owners are running, but I know I have to take some of those with a grain of salt.

I live in Canada, and some of the roads I have to drive on are... not always the best. I'm thinking of moving down to 18s (what my winters currently are) to compensate wider tires being a little taller, and otherwise calling for a thinner profile to fit. I have both Eibach lowering springs and sway bars, which surely limit what is possible a little bit. If ride height is the only issue, I would consider moving to coilovers (only the KS V3 coilovers for ≈ $3500 were available at the time I bought my lowering springs, but Megan Racing and BC Racing coilovers are around now which are much cheaper and still reputable) for the flexibility.

There's a few wheels I'm considering, but the ones which design I like the most are bronze Aodhan AFF7. I hadn't heard of Aodhan before, but from the bit of research I've done they're a newer brand but have a decent reputation. I was concerned initially, and maybe am still (if anyone knows more about their quality etc., would love to hear), as I wanted to go with König, Enkei or another better known brand, but not every newer brand is automatically garbage just because they're new. At some point König was new too.

I have some spirited driving occasionally, but don't plan on any track days.

I'll just post the links to the fronts and rears I've looked at, as they should have the information one would need.

Rear: https://www.fitmentindustries.com/buy-wheel-offset/AFF71895511435BZ/aodhan-aff7-18x95-35

I was wanting to run 255/40/18 in the front, and 285/35/18 in the rear, but have some concerns about fitment since I know that's 30mm wider in front/rear, and I have lowering springs like I mentioned.
I've seen that 46.5 is the stock offset for the rear, but I've had a lot of difficulty finding rims with offsets that high. I'm not sure if what I want would work, or whether I should try to find something with a higher offset.
I also had a lot of difficulty finding rims that were 9"; most were 8.5" and 9.5". I would consider doing 275s in the rear if I found 9" rims I liked. I think 275s fit on 9.5" according to this chart Tire Width for a Wheel/Rim Size Chart - TyreSizeCalculator.com, but I'm worried having tires "stretched" more might lead to quicker tire wear. Maybe that is totally unfounded; I'm not sure.

The other wheels I was considering are bronze König Ampliforms, but I only see them available in 19s, so I would need thinner profile tires, or less wide tires to compensate.

This website is the best I could find for theoretically figuring out if something might fit, but there's obviously things it can't know. The fender and wheel well clearance numbers I got from another thread from someone else with Eibach Lowering Springs. I'm not sure on the suspension clearance, which is honestly the part I'm the most worried about.

Any comments on whether what I was hoping for would work, or absolutely wouldn't, or even information about some things it maybe looks like I misunderstand, are appreciated. Sorry for such a long post. I'm just trying to be thorough on the information I'm providing. Thanks for your time!

This probably won't be that helpful, because my "philosophy" is more conservative than what you describe. But I don't see any sense in trying to push clearances to the max for appearances sake. Clearances as OEM designed obviously don't look "flush", nor do they fill the wheel wells as some drivers really want. You mentioned bad roads and you live in a place with real winters for a significant amount of the year. This seems to me to double the hazard of close clearances.

Lowered makes suspension clearing eased, while risking fender contact. Your second calculator is right out, Ima not sure why you posted it. You have to end up with some fender/well clearance or it's a no show.

I do know, from a lot of reading on here, that 255 is the widest tire that you can safely use square. And 8.5 is the widest rim in front without issues. The 34 OEM offset in front can be pushed out to 31 to get more strut clearance. But you won't want to get crazy with tire width, especially lowered as you are.

What I do is consult the local pro wheel shop. That eliminates questions, and if they order wheels and tires then they are responsible for fitment. Find a pro shop and tell them your preferences and let them find options that work. You'll save a lot of time and uncertainty. All we can do on the net is describe what works for us.

Thanks for the response! I may move down to 245 and 275 for the front and rear respectively, as long as that still works alright with 8.5" and 9.5" rims. There seems to be an overwhelmingly large quantity of rims with those two rim widths, at least for the 5x114.3 bolt pattern.

Real winters is a bit of a stretch, haha. I live 5 minutes from the US border, and just over an hour east of the pacific ocean. We see snow once, maybe twice a year, and I run winter tires from November through March, so these wheels/rims would only be used in warmer, safer conditions, so that shouldn't be a concern.

Your advice on ordering through a shop so the onus is on them if it doesn't fit right is a great suggestion though, thanks!

275 is pretty maxed on a 9.5. Wider tire would lose sidewall stiffness. 245 on 8.5 is ideal. A 255 on 8.5 is maxed out like the 275 on 9.5. In the rear everything is going to work regardless with an offset of c. 40. I run a 225 on 8.5 wide rim in front with a 40 offset. That's the minimum tire width on an 8.5, so, a bit of a stretch. And I still get outer edge wear in front. If I were to go wider tires in front, I'd want less offset to compensate. Also, I don't prefer the flush look because of the risk of rub, especially in front. Even with a mere 255 tire in back, on a 9.5 +39 rim, there was one time when I was cornering quite hard on an onramp, and there was a dip in the road I didn't know about yet, and the outer edge of the tire smacked up inside the wheel well. Had I been flush or anything close to it, likely I'd have encountered damage to tire and possibly wheel too. Ima fan of generous clearance because of practical concerns.

One other perspective: there are plenty of guys running 20mm spacers on the stock wheels (225s, 8" wide up front), effectively pushing their +34 offset down to +14.

The rears (255s, 8.5" wide) have a +46.5 offset, so they are 1/2" wider and set 1/2" further inward. So 255s on 8.5s up front with a 20mm spacer would put all the extra width (12.5mm) on the inside, in the space that would be occupied by the stock fronts with no spacer.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
You could try this wheel setup:

Superspeed RF03
18x9.5 +38 (add 15mm spacer up front to make it +23 to clear struts)
245/45/18 Firehawk Indy 500
18x9.5 +38 (no spacer on rear)
275/40/18 Firehawk Indy 500

He’s lowered aswell and said he didn’t rub.

do you know if this is on a RWD or AWD?
