What's your favorite Mando setting! Post it!

Not sure what you mean by "numerical value", I just adjust it based on how the car feels and settle with something that feels good for me, with the car in Comfort. 100KM is 62MPH, that's where I figure I drive at on most of the roads in my area. I adjust up from there for higher speeds.

The actual F/R values at each speed point in the graph for ride and handling. It's pretty difficult to try to eye it from the screencaps.

Hey all! Happy New year!
Installed the Mando about a month ago. I drive a 2018 GT2 3.3 AWD with the Eibach Pro kit (front and back sways and springs). Haven't had time to mess with the settings at all, but have been following this thread religiously. Wayne and XO have been a great help! Finally tested the Mando comfort mode. My Eibach kit was one of the best mods for my car, really improved handling drastically!!! My ride without the Mando module, with my Eibachs, was a bit jarring, even over small bumps. BUT OMG!!! With Mando in comfort today, for the first time, it really smoothed everything out really nice! Glided over all road imperfections, but still have my Eibach gold handling! Gonna delve more into this Mando thing (after the Superbowl:)). Love the name ... MANDO!!!
what are your Mando settings?

I keep resetting the settings so they are't always the same, I would recommend you adjust and test to see what you like. I'm not an expert on suspensions, I just spread them out over the speed range.

Has anyone with the Mando unit noticed a change in the latest update in what it allows you to do? After my latest iOS update, 13.x, not on 14 yet, I decided to change a couple of the custom setting. A couple days later I noticed when I went into the App it looked different, I reset one custom setting and figured I would try it at the default handling setting, which looked like 40/60 (F/R). Overall it was pretty good. I then tried to adjust it over a speed range and noticed that it isn't allowing me to do a different setting front to rear. For example, I tried to do 30 front and 40 rear, saved it, but after checking it, it lists 30/30. Now the ride setting wasn't changed then when I went to adjust it, it is also doing the same thing. I typically vary between 2-6 points between front and rear. I check the other custom settings and those are what they were prior to the software update.

I will say that the ride quality is pretty firm and balanced at highway speed, well it is firm at all speeds but up to 80 which is set at 40/40 on the ride and 35/35 on the handling side, overall it feels sporty. I didn't switch it to Sport mode as it already feels like it is in a sport setting already. Has anyone noticed any change with how the App works or recently changed your setting and can tell if this is also happening in your software. Let us know. Thanks.

I remember someone mentioning that the suspension stiffens up once it senses a steering input. Can someone confirm this?

Also is it speed dependent?

I've noticed that my suspension has been abnormally stiff before the Mando unit. I suspect it the be out of alignment but the dealer didn't reset the steering angle or something is up.

The car is tracking straight but the steering angle is off if that makes sense.

Gotta love adaptive suspension yo

My suspension felt really floaty before the Mando so you’re definitely having a different experience than I am, I still do not at all understand the difference between ride and handling adjustments and don’t know where to go to get a proper overview of that.
All I do know is that the major impact to overall responsiveness and stability is that the factory tune is WAY too soft in the rear, setting the rear stiffer than the front by about 10% makes the car bounce flat, instead of the ass floating away over swales in the road.

I typically have mine set for a 5% difference, with the rear being stiffer. As noted above, the one Custom setting I wiped out and tried to setup differently, it will not allow me to set the front at a different setting than the rear. In this setting, I vary the handling from 25-45 up to 120 MPH and the ride from 20-45 up to the same speed. The car rides like it is in a sport setting when set to Comfort, it rides firmer than the standard sport setting in the App. Because of how firm it rides, I haven't needed to put the car in Sport mode. I looked at my other settings and they allow me to make the incremental or larger changed between front and rear, it is just the one Custom setting, since the last App update before iOS 14.

Let me know if any of you have reset one of the Custom setting and see if you can set the front setting different the rear.

Have had my car lowered on the H&R RWD specific lowering springs for a while now and started to dislike how underdamped the rear is due to the increased spring rate. I ended up purchasing a Mando ECS 10 to readjust the damping on the electronic controlled suspension and created a custom "Basic" setting that I think works well to replace the Comfort setting. It greatly reduces the excessive underdamping and makes the ride smooth and controlled. Here are my new Comfort settings for the ECS10 and thought I would share for those interested in trying it out:
Just so everyone knows, I'm on the H&R RWD specific springs, with 20x9 and 20x10.5 wheels and Michelin Pilot Sport 3+ A/S tires (it's winter here in WA).

Ride: Front= 45%, Rear = 40%
Handling: Front = 55%, Rear = 49%

If you have one, let me know what you think. I'm still working out the new custom "Sport" setting to my liking, so stay tuned.

I have almost your exact same setup, but AWD and eibach, i have the same feelings about underdamped rear, but the car for me wouldn’t “bounce flat” until I set the rear 10% higher than the front, I’m set a little softer in the front than you, and a little stiffer in the rear.

I have the same setup as you. What are your exact settings for the Mando? I just installed mine but the car is hibernating until spring so haven't had a chance to try it. Curious though as I bought it because of the exact reason you said. Feels underdamped in the rear.

Basic:
Ride: 40/55
Handling: 50/65

It feels pretty good like this, the ass end of the car doesn't float any more. It's winter right now for us, so this feels pretty rigid right now, probably will feel softer in the summer.

Yeah, for mine, being RWD, the damping seems pretty even now front to rear. So when you hit bumps, the car as a whole moves up and down (vs the front or rear moving more or less). We had a 2017 Mercedes C300 Coupe with stiffer rear dampers and I hated the feeling.. its a common damper setting with convertibles since the weight increases when the top goes down and gets stored in the rear (making the car more rear weight biased).

With yours being AWD, a stiffer rear will definitely help with the understeer and help handling be a little more neutral.

Someone confirm an observation of mine (and yes, it’s probably buried in the hundred posts in here..)
Whatever mando setting I use in the app (comfort/sport/or 1 of the four custom options), is it overriding whatever the suspension setting associated to the dial mode? I think this is happening.

And it’s global across all dial modes right? Even if I have the car’s custom suspension to let’s say sport (set in the touch screen custom car settings), if I have the app’s setting as comfort, it overrides any dial’s suspension (even custom dial one) as the exaggerated comfort values?

I'm fairly sure there was info posted that it does. It also seems to add a change when switched to Sport mode via the car's setting.
