I’ve been using Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant. It’s been pretty good. I just bought Turtle Wax Graphine Paste Wax. Can’t wait to try this.

I’m very much into ceramic products honestly. I used griots 3 in 1 ceramic spray for the first few months and I just polished and coated with Adams graphene ceramic coating. I’ve heard great things about Wolfgang in general, maybe I’ll try that to top the coating once it dies down some.
The ceramics just work better for the salt and water always on Michigan roads.

Also using griots 3 in 1 ceramic spray. Easy on easy off and if you notice anything cloudy the next day you can reapply overtop it to fix it up.

"Scott HD" on youtube tested a bunch on the hood of a car left out in the elements for a year and griot's seems to outlast every test. Edit; link

The only thing I don't like about it is its not great on glass. They say it should work like rainx but it doesnt and can leave a haze or dots. Ive never noticed cloudy dots on the clear coat.

Another vote here for ceramic coatings... but agree the climate you live in changes things a lot. I use Gyeon Ceramic Quick Detailer as a drying aid / topper. The Turtle Wax has very good reviews. For the glass I did the gtechinc glass coating but honestly not sure if it better than Aquapel my previous glass sealant (still seeing on how long it lasts)

I changed to Turtle Wax Seal and Shine. Much better compare to the paste I was using.

This is why I switched over to the graphene coating. Works wonders on glass and trim as well.
Griots is by far the best entry into ceramic you can use though.

Nice choice, kind of like old faithful in the YouTube detailing community. Was the turtle wax graphene paste not up to snuff? I used to be all about paste waxes, now I haven’t used one in almost a decade.

I use Meguiar's Gold Class Carnauba for a little extra protection from paint chips and stains. My car is garaged most of the time, so the wax job lasts a long time if bugs and bird droppings are cleaned off and rewaxed. I know the new sealants are harder and longer lasting, but I'm not sure how well they keep road debris from chipping the paint. My belief is that wax sort of lubricates the surface so grit has a tendency to slide off rather than digging in.

For chips you need ppf.

Turtle Wax Spray Wax to dry the car after every wash.

Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Wax yearly.
Sorry to ask a stupid question, just trying to understand your process. So you spray on this wax while the car is still wet from washing and then use a microfiber towel to mix-in/dry the car or you let both just dry by themselves?

I have been using Zaino products for the last 20 years or so. A little difficult to use, but it has great shine and quite durable.

true that is. but when the hit is hard enough to drive black grit into the ppf there is not a blessed thing you can do but clean it as far as possible and then dab touch up paint into the darkened scratch so that the damage no longer attracts your eye. you know it's there but nobody else will see it unless they go over the car up really close, barring the perfect light angle of course, but we live with imperfection in this venue.

I personally love Bead Maker by P&S. Works fantastically. Just always remember to do a proper handwash before using sealants.
…and use a clay bar before applying any sealants.

i use the Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Pro Graphene Flex spray wax ...

in the spring i'll do a claybar (actually nanoskin mitt) and polish, then the graphene spray wax on a dry car, panel by panel as per the instructions.

once or twice after that per year, i'll apply it as a "rinse wax" on the wet car after washing and hose off as a "booster", then dry with a cordless leaf blower ... which is really the best thing about graphene/ceramic coatings - the water beads up and FLIES OFF the car with the blower.

rinse and repeat the following spring.

Absolutely if this step hasnt been done before. To clarify, im speaking from a perspective of already having paint correction and ceramic coating done. Bead Maker just upkeeps the ceramic coating after completing a hand wash for maintenance.

The spray wax is used to aid the drying of the car.

The ceramic spray is used once a year. Right after the car is washed and dried.

Agree 100%. I've done 2 corrections to mine and finished each with Cquartz, the UK version on one of them. A second application, as worn out as you may be, makes a big differnce. The Carpro Reload spray really helps maintain the ceramic and lengthen the life of the coating. P&S beadmaker after drying and Reload every 4th wash is great.

Because I bought my Stinger used last fall and the weather finally turned nice I really started looking into giving it a wax job. As I looked at the paint you could see swirl marks from lots of automatic car washes. Made the decision to go all in and clay bar, polish, seal, and glaze the finish. After dropping almost $200 US chemicals, polishing pads, rags, etc. I spent a Sunday and got to work with the help of my Son in law.
What a huge difference. I've owned my Stinger for 6 months and just now realized that the Aurora Black paint job is actually a metallic black. After clay barring the car there was this haze to it (which is normal).

We started the polish stage doing one panel at a time. I was shocked as we removed the dried polish and the paint started to pop and sparkle in the sun light. I had no idea this car was this beautiful. I mean it looked good when I bought it. Now it looks phenomenal.
Once the polish was done we began applying the sealant. After seeing the way the car looked I did not want to lose that ear to ear grin I got from seeing those metallic flakes for the first time.
After the sealant was applied, dried, and buffed we moved on to the final phase the glaze. I chose Chemical Guys Wet Mirror finish based on reviews and videos I saw on the internet as being one of the best glazes for black paint.

So 6 hours of work using Chemical Guys Clay bar, Chemical Guys V36 Polish, Chemical Guys Jet Seal, and Chemical Guys Wet Mirror finish (seeing a trend here?) and the result -
