What is the usual ETA on a car order?

Back in July I started looking for a ceramic silver GT2 Scorpion, and my local dealership told me that they could order me one so I put down a deposit and had them place the order on 7/5. The sales rep told me to expect a 2-3 month turnaround time. The sales rep I worked with is no longer with the dealership, so I got a hold of a sales manager, who told me that the order is in Kia's hands but they just haven't put it into their production queue yet.

I'm just wondering what a usual ETA on an order from Kia is. The only other time I've ordered a car was for my wife earlier this year, and in that case, Ford provided status updates & actual estimated dates via email. It still took 3 months to get that car, as stated by the dealer, but it was nice to have those updates from the manufacturer.

I've had an Audi SQ8 on order since May , the production schedule shows week 47 build and ETA of Feb ...................the semi conductor chip shortage is impacting most auto manufacturers

IME, at least 2 months for any car I've ordered. More like 2-3 minimum.
