What happens on late payments?

Life happened and I missed to pay my lease payment which was due on 8th. I just didn't realize I missed it. What do they do? Immediately report it to credit reporting agency?

Seriously their auto payment system is shitty. If I set automatic payment, then it get's deducted on 24th of prior month when statement is generated. I rather much prefer to pay on 1st after my pay is credited at end of the month.

KMFusa website is down for maintenance till tomorrow night.
Their phone service needs full account number and I just realized that all documents with account number on it have wrong account number (one of the last 4 digits don't match).
Customer service is not available till tomorrow.

There's usually a grace period before it's reported. Best to get ahold of them asap to keep it I good terms. Usually 2 missed payment shit hits the entire fan

With banks and credit cards 30 days after its due before its reported to the credit people.

Go ahead and pay it when the site is back up. You may end up with a late fee on your next bill, but it should be fine.

Can you have your payments set to be automatic? That's what I would do... that's how I have my financing setup with Kia for my car... every month they withdraw on their own...

There's a grace period as others have indicated. If you have a strong history paying on time, a call might yield no late fee. It's worth asking for, honest mistake. If you setup autopay with them in good faith it will increase your chances they'll waive the fee.

Understandable, they would be able to adjust it to whatever day you told them as long as it provided for a bit of wiggle room to apply to the account in time. In the case of an 8th of the month payment, any reasonably well coordinated payment on the 3rd would make the account in time regardless of a weekend/holiday in-between.
