• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

I was thinking of keeping my stock exhaust just incase but now I'll be moving to Montreal and I don't want to hold on to my stock exhaust. What did you all do to it? can we get some value off of it or is this just scrap

I think it’s worthwhile to keep them in case you change cars and want to recoup some of the other investment. You can always pay your mechanic or your local dealership for a small yearly storage fee, or you can try to sell it on here. I had my dealer store them for me

Hold onto it if you can. All of my buddy's keep their stock exhausts... it serves well in-case something goes wrong and you wanna bring the car to the dealership for warranty service...

Good luck and have a safe trip btw!!

I didn't get to keep my original exhaust. I had it replaced by the body shop after my car was rear ended, so they tossed the bent OEM pipes.

I have kept all the other OEM parts I have replaced though. I just keep them in boxes in the attic. I plan to put the stock parts on the car if I ever plan to trade it in or sell to a dealer. Aftermarket parts don't usually bring much return on investment sadly.

Top shelf of my backyard shed, probably full of wasps.

They even seem to hurt re-sell potential at times...

Yeah, I guess that's kind of what I was getting at. The ROI for mods really comes from my enjoyment of them, but no guarantee that the next owner is going to appreciate them. No one wants to pick up someone else's project, so it's best to just take it all off again and let them make it their own.

saved mine and stored it. Plugged up the open ends to protect anything from "moving in".

If you toss your stock exhaust and need it back, you should be able to pick up a stock exhaust for cheap from someone that replaced theirs with aftermarket.

For sure! Makes sense! :D

Smart!

I wonder if I could sell my stock exhaust to someone though... I mean technically doing just a catback exhaust can't void anything nor can it be tied to any problems... unless I am completely being ignorant here? lmfao :p

My stock exhaust is just taking up space in my garage. Though all I replaced was the mid pipes with the secondary cats. Is there much value from a scrap yard for secondary cats? I know that the primary cats are work some money due to the metals in them but unsure about the secondaries.

For anybody on this thread! I will purchase your stock tips if you can sell. Frankly, I only need the driver's side. Please let me know! 6 5 1 - TWO SEVEN ZERO - 5 5 8 1.

Thanks!

Fred

You could but it would have to be local as the shipping wouldn't be worth it.

I am only asking for the drivers side tip. The tabs are broken on my stock tip.

Only worth something to another stinger owner.

I have no use for mine. I don’t think I’d ever return it back to stock. In storage for now. Stock mufflers are big, ugly monsters though
