What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

Unfortunately a very eerily similar one I had before lined up against me at the stop light and sadly I had to shed a tear to say bye.

of course they won't compare to a Stinger, no 60s car will. but pretty then is pretty now and that includes a musical engine.

Bought a borescope recently. I had some free time this weekend so I decided to look down the intakes and take a peak at the turbo fins. Found one black spot (almost a smooth, dried, tar-like mark) on one of the fins, on each turbo. Very strange, and not sure what it is or how it got there. With the VT Snorkels I regularly look at/clean/knock out debris on my air filters, and have never seen any puncture or marking of anything making it through.

Curious, if anyone knows what this may be, or has seen this before on a current or previous car.

Took her out for a nice Sunday drive today, still runs like a champ. View attachment 79041
Not sure if anyone answered you on this one so apologies if this is a repeat.

The black mark is a balance indicator mark. You'll see it corresponds with the area of the nut that's been ground out to balance the impeller assembly.

Took her out of it's package then did the first mod almost everyone does , intakes and catch can.
Look at them cute little turbskies
They ARE the cutest little turbo's aren't they.....

They do a great job for something so small. ( please refrain from the "That's what she said" jokes :p

Oh and in a prior post I showed you my new "unique taste" in exhaust tips as pictured here.

but after taking a big chunk out of my right shin for the second time, I got out the grinder, and now they look like this...

Yes, you're allowed to laugh...

Not on this thread but on another, someone else gave me input and stated it was a mark from the factory saying they're good to be put in a car.

Good to know. Thank you for the info and for passing along your knowledge. Appreciate it, man.

Switched from MBRP to Borla. No regrets. Much better. I’m not sure who these people are who call borla too loud or too droney… still quieter than a stock M3/4 with the M Performance exhaust or a stock AMG.

Clip of a cold start in a parkade. No need to worry. Louder but not annoying. I had a C63 that would set off alarms on cold starts… That condo board hated me.

Jun Bl secondaries installed! Exhaust is stock. Comfort is still quite. Sport slightly louder not by much but can hear the spool more.

And switched my sways from stiff to soft f&r
Massive difference on comfort but already miss the stiffness on turns.

Nice. You have an additional mods to your exhaust, or just the Borla catback? I'm trying to hold out on them releasing their system for 2022 Stingers (with valved exhaust). Right now it's just MBRP available.

How much louder do you find it vs MBRP from inside the car?

Just borla for exhaust. Otherwise an AEM intake.

About the same, but a different tone. My MBRP frequently made things in the car vibrate. Borla does not do that.

washed her today, and finally remembered to take some pics. first time detailing since i got my rims powder coated!

Looks great, wish I had a red or blue or ceramic silver car. Basically any other color than panthera metal. Can't tell that you did anything to the wheels though.

As someone with a red Stinger and black OEM wheels, good call. Its just not flattering to the design.

I just bought the MBRP, will I be getting some of that vibration too then?
Not going to lie, that bola sounds pretty good!

I did some minor dress up with the Stinger and installed my OCC
