• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Hi,

I'm looking at purchasing a Kia Stinger GT.

From the research I've done, the US received different GT trims, but Australia did not.

I have a couple questions that I can't find helpful answers to, as most of the answers I find online are related to the US market:

- What are the main feature differences between the different model years?
- Are the post-facelift models (2021+) worth the extra $$$ as opposed to say, a 2019 model?

Thanks!

EDIT: I discovered a comment by another user mentioning that the Australian MY19 Stinger GT is the equivalent to the GT2 in the US, and the GT Limited in Canada (hxxps://stingerforum[.]org/threads/buy-a-my18-stinger-now-or-wait-for-the-my19-in-september.7582/post-102762 - can't hyperlink as I'm a new user). They detail some differences between the MY18 and MY19 Stinger GT models.

Yes and yes.

I have not compared these myself but this is the Kia Australia My20 Stinger vs MY23 Stinger Pdf brochures

You should be able to find the differences between the respective GT years.

The only trim level differences in the MY23 were red or black leather in the GT and Red wasn't offered in every car colour.

For example you could not get a Hichroma Red with Red leather but you could get a Deep Chroma Blue with red OR black leather....same goes for white and silver both had the black or red optional Nappa leather. These are the My23 models and not sure about earlier years.

There were no AWD vehicles delivered to Australia that I am aware of.

If you are interested, there is a "brand new" My23 Ceramic Grey My23 Stinger GT down in South Australia, never registered, for $68,000 plus Govt charges (which is the standard dealer price 12 months ago). The car is 12 months old and in storage.

On road that would be about $71390 which is what the drive away price from a dealership and having not been registered it will be classed as a "new" vehicle when registering it.

Thank you so much for sharing that, really appreciate it.

As much as I'd like to, my budget won't let me snag that offer, thank you though!

I think I agree about the facelift choice - the larger screens, variable exhaust and redesigned head/tail-lights are probably worth the extra ~$7k (based on prices from Carsales.

Have a look at this link which summarises the Australian My23 Stinger

and I have found a couple of brochures on the Australian My18 Stinger as well. They may be duplicated.

I'm looking for a similar brochure for the US models. Anybody got any leads? I tried replacing the /au/ with /us/ but no luck.

2018 USA Stinger

2020 USA Stinger

2023 USA Stinger

I just googled

2018 brochure USA Stinger

2020 brochure USA Stinger

2023 brochure USA Stinger

Thanks. I should have done that first. My mistake.

But the documents at those locations aren't in PDF format similar to the Australian document.

Uhm, yes they are!

Look at the links I provided.

They say .pdf at the end.

When you google them (which I just did again) the URL says .pdf at the end of the URL so they are DEFINITELY in pdf format.

Do a "file", "save as" into documents or downloads or anywhere else you would like to put them.

If you mean they don't have columns of information? No they don't but that's all that came up.

The 2018 and 2020 documents are PDFs. The 2023 link isn't for a PDF. I was looking for a 2023 brochure like your initial post.

Having gone through these brochures now.....there are only a couple of enhancements from the My18 Stinger GT to the MY20 Stinger GT in Australia.

My20 got upgraded to;
Coasting Mode in Eco/Smart
Different exterior treatments on bumpers etc
Heated steering wheel
Interior Mood Lighting
Active Sound .....an OFF function was added
Quantum Logic Sound.

MY23 however has a lot more updates and in addition to the MY20 updates these are
272kw up to 274kW
New Kia Badge design
Bi Modal Exhaust
13kg extra weight (1780kg vs 1793kg)
Enhanced AEB (pedestrian, cycle, car, junction assist) for the Autonomous Emergency Brake (AEB)
LFA- Lane Following Assist (automatic lane centering)
BCA- Blind spot collision avoidance as opposed to just Blind spot detection (BSD)
BVM - Blind Spot View Monitor
RCCA - Rear Cross Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist as opposed to just Rear Cross traffic alert (RCTA)
ROA - Rear Occupant Alert
SEW - Safe Exit Warning
DAA+ - Driver Attention Alert with Lead Vehicle Departure Warning Added
Smart Key Remote Engine Start
Hands Free Smart Tail Gate
Intelligent Speed Limit Assist
ASSC (Advanced Smart Cruise Control), Stop Go added.
Colour Head Up Display (Nav turn by turn display, speed, Audio Track Names, DAB Stations, Lane Assist)
Stainless Steel Luggage Plate
10.25 inch LCD Touch Screen (up from 7 inch)
Sounds of Nature in Audio Setting
Other cosmetics
Newer Style Wheels

In my opinion you would be better off looking for a My23 model if you want to get all the features ever offered in an Australian delivered Stinger GT.....

When the Stinger was launched in 2017 there were 6 models to choose from:
Base model 200s 2 litre
" 330s 3.3 litre
Intermediate 200si 2 litre
" 330si 3.3 litre
Premium 200gtl 2 litre Gt line
" 330Gt 3.3 Gt

92% of sales were for the 3.3gt so i read.

2200 sales Nationally in 2022 and 11000 since 2017.

With 5 million cars in Melbourne the chance of seeing one of the 500 My23's sold in Melbourne is 0.01%

Any wonder it is days between me seeing another Stinger of any year...........

The US MY22 was in the pile I gave you.

Along with every other model

Hi All - I am Aussie, based in Sydney. So most likely Australian members can help.
I am in the market to purchase a used Kia Stinger GT.
May I please request some guidance :
- Dec 2022 build v/s Apr 2023 build ---> is there any difference ?
- Safe buying a Stinger ? I mean Toyota supports its cars in terms of spares for years after it being discontinued. Will Kia be able to ?
- And the obvious question , fair $ for GT under 20,000kms ?

Thanks Everyone
