I think the 2022 Stingers look pretty good so I decided to go to dealer to take a look. The new green on line does not look very good but on the lot the green looked unique. I would like to see and instrument test of 2022 GT line but there really are none I have seen 5.2 estimate on Motor Trend if that is true it is only 1/10 of a second slower than the GT awd which Motor Trend says the got 5.1. I know the GT line is 3 to 400 lbs lighter. Anyway when I went to the dealer and asked to see the interior he said to look in the windows and then said oh you want to sit in it. He got the keys and it was pretty nice. I use a thumb drive to listen to my music and the one USB port I saw was behind the shifter. I am not sure how easy it would be to get a thumb drive in it as there is not much space. I did not ask and the guy did not offer a drive. It was late and hot so either he felt I was not interested or he was not interested in a potential sale. I suppose if I was very interested I could have asked to drive it but in the past a drive is almost always offered. But like I said it was late and hot. I really do like the look of the 2022. The guy also mentioned all cars were for sale at list price any rebates would be available but other than that no discounts. He is having trouble getting new cars as the lot has a lot of empty spaces. I am not a fan of sun roofs and getting a GT line in 2022 may be the only way to not get a sun roof. I think they look better than the previous year Stingers not a big change but small changes that add to the sport look.

First, whether you are going for the GT-Line or not, this statement just opened "Pandora's Box"......LOL

Anyway, not sure what your question is, if any, but I too was very interested in the '22 2.5 as well as the 3.3. Decided to go another way but the extra performance of the 2.5 sort of blurred the lines between the 4 and 6 cylinder engines in my opinion.

Won't get much in the form of incentives, discounts due to the way the market is right now. If you decide on one, the Stinger is an awesome vehicle no matter the engine choice.

Well I was just putting it out there, I had been looking for a while now but with 2022 for me they kind of took the option of the 3.3 away as it is 6-8K more than the GT line. I almost went for a 2021 GT which actually cost less than the current GT line 2.5. Someone else on this site mentioned that it seemed surprising that since the Stinger has not been a big seller that they would discontinue the most affordable GT. I see right now the GT1 which replaced the GT is on sale for about 48K. I would think at that price sales of the 3.3 will drop. I did not drive the 2.5 but it looks just as good as the GT 1 and 2. But because of the current climate pricing I am not willing to pay MSRP. The dealer I looked at had 4 stingers a week ago I only saw 2 but the site lists 3 all GT lines. The Green one that was sold may have been a GT1 not sure. Maybe I will try to get a test drive but the feeling a got was unless you showed strong interest to make a purchase you won't get a test. Like I had mentioned I had ask him to get the keys so I could sit in the car he would have liked me to look in the windows. There is another dealer farther away with 7 Stingers who say get the E price. They even have a 2021 GT2 which they are not giving away at 52K+ not a smoking deal. No real questions just putting my experience and thoughts out there.

Cool......

I just looked a few hours ago (like looking at the inventory/prices) and a couple of well equipped GT-Lines were at around $40K. GT2's were sitting at about $52K, some sites list at $55K

Getting looks/free test drives is going to be difficult since the market is the way it is...

Wow, a lot to unpack there.

Anyway, USB works fine. IMG_9612s.webp

The new 2.5T offers a compelling performance option where none existed previously IMO. The gap between the 3.3TT and 2.5T is a bit wider than 1/10 second though, most places doing testing are seeing sub 5.0 seconds with the 3.3TT (some as low as 4.6 seconds 0-60), which is fairly significant.

My stock 0-60 on my 21 awd is 4.5 seconds all day. With a jb4 its dipped to 4.1. There is really no comparing the 3.3 to anything under 70k. Put a tune on it and you have a 4 door rocket

Sure about that capn....??? I still have MAD Stinger love but need to pump the breaks just a little....4 doors, yes..............i agree.

That looks like a pretty small thumb drive my Sandisk is much longer and is very easy to insert and take out it also loads fast, I used to use PNY which is a bit smaller but not nearly as good as the Sandisk drive, The dealer that had the 3 GT lines I was looking at now won't post the prices of the vehicles as mentioned MSRP a week ago. Another Kia dealer about 25 to 30 miles away has 7 stingers all 3 models and discounts of about $1000. They even have a GT1 for $45,000. can get the Gt line for $38,000. That $7K makes it tougher. Since Kia V6 is costing so much I looked at some Audi dealers 2 of them has 2 new vehicles that were SUV's. Another had some new vehicles but either they were the A4 40's of the higher A4 45's. If the GT1 did not have the sun roof I would look at it.

You're cross-shopping with SUVs?? And price comparisons only start with base models; to get the tech and features a Stinger has you're going to spend over $10K (closer to double that) more with an Audi or BMW. The hatch is MISSING on all of those, unless you go SUV: but if you do that, you don't really feel the Stinger calling to you.

I use a Sandisk (125GB) and the end of it just brushes the underside of the closing drawer/lid.

Whats with your ignored responses, if we don't respond to you asap you get upset. I am not crossing shopping SUV's I said i looked at 2 dealers and when I chose new vehicles the dealer only had 2 new vehicles which happened to be SUV's. I was interested in A4's.

Ah, I should have put in a winking smiley. The SUV quip was a humorous comment. I'm in a constant state of "upset" at some level or another, don't take it personally. The A4 costs as much as a Stinger and you get less car.

Now that you have me down for ignored responses I get that from you. But you may be right about the A4 being a lesser car. I wish I new for sure.

That would be misjudging me. I don't ignore anyone. That doesn't mean that I am always savvy to what someone says, which is not the same thing.

Calm down CAPN.....Been following as well and "kind of" see where you would get the "ignored" response thing BUT...

@MerlintheMad is one of the classy contributors on the entire forum so I don't think any harm was meant.....don't leap before you look.....

My dumb question for anyone here is what is the purpose of the USB stick????? I used one on my Supra to store all the darn custom configurations so that in case the battery dies or something, I can use my usb to re-load everything instead of starting from scratch.....o_O

Music. My CD ripped collection is augmented by YouTube videos converted to mp3, and some purchased mp3 albums. Files on a stick are pretty much bullet proof (no funky phone interface/connection), and free (no subscriptions).

I use my usb drive to play all the music that I grew up with. Don't have to keep changing the stations to find a song I like. I also feel the quality of the usb drive is better than satilite radio. I can put thousands if songs on one small device instead of having to carry all the cd's. Usb drive usually has more features than cd's offer

Got it.....

I have saved a couple of mashup tunes from youtube but have not entertained the idea of converting them and darn thing about it is I am an IT guy by trade.....LOL!!!!

Hmmmmmm....my infotainment has an actual music selection just for a storage device but never thought to use it....always used ACP.

Learn something everyday!!!! Although, lot of folks on here have probably never used a CD....LOL
