Well, I broke my cargo cover.

^^^What are you showing off?

I suppose one could fit a shower curtain rod with a black shower curtain instead of paying the $180 for the oem part. No worries about tall objects breaking it again.

I just broke my straps to my cargo trunk lid. I wasn't thinking and went top open my trunk, and broke my straps, after I placed some items thru the opening.

My cover broke similarly, looks like someone else broke it before me and tried to epoxy it, but it didn't hold. Unfortunately, it fell off when I took it out of the car to carry something large and now it is lost. So, unless someone knows where I can get a replacement or if someone can 3d print one, I am out of luck. I may have to purchase a new one.

You are on the right track with a 3D printed replacement.. The local library has 3D printers, get the librarian to help you copy the hinge that you still have. Then use a good epoxy or similar strong adhesive. My two hinges have stayed solid for years now since being glued back on.

Glue it on better, add a screw or two and it will be permanent.

Careful with strong glue, you're just moving the failure point somewhere more critical in the event something gets jammed again.
I JB welded the hinge back on and realized that next time I fcuk up, instead of coming off, the little wheel will probably break off or the cover will crack.
I should've traced a thin line of rubber cement around the edge so it holds, but will give way next time I accidentally use it as a hydraulic press.

It really isn't all that hard to do.
KIA replaced mine under extended warranty but it took over a year.
I glued it back together twice in that time.

It's my turn now! See attached image. Don't know how it happened. I think wear and tear. Showed it to the dealer and asked if they could glue it (I'm under warranty but this is probably wear and tear) and they said I'd have to get a new cargo cover. I said I would glue it then. As this thread is a few years old, I'd like to hear from
@Snicklefritz, @JSolo, @D.J., @MerlintheMad, & @Devin if the fixes they made still worked or would they do something different. I have JB Weld Plastic Weld (World's Strongest), Gorilla Fabric Glue, Gorilla Super Glue (Impact Tough Formula), Loctite Super Glue (Gel Control), and Loctite Plastic Bonder (Glue and Activator tubes). But I'm willing to add to the collection.

Literally least wek, I too re-bonded mine.

I used marine Goop instead of epoxy - cause it's what I had on hand.

I was very surprised it seems so cheaply made right from Kia. It appears to be factory bonded - to the carpet.
Can confirm, mine is still holding strong today...

Mine was very much like yours, so I cut it off completely, cleaned it up, and glued it back on, clamped it with some weight that I had kicking around, and that's it.

My two-part epoxy - Gorilla brand, but any will do - is holding strong. I cut the hinge away completely too and generously applied the epoxy to one surface and pushed the hinge down firmly while it set, which as you probably know takes c. five minutes is all.
