Hey Folks,
I am new to owning a vehicle and I jst noticed that on my driveway, there’s some drips and when I felt it it was water.
Is this normal? I am a bit worried. Why is it leaking water?

You guys ever have to use your AC up there in Canada? It’s just condensation from the condenser. Totally normal.

Did I take that pic? ;):P It looks identical to the one I shared here a few weeks ago; the very same concern that you have/had. It was an unusually humid day and very hot. So, condensation from the A/C did it. My first clue was a steady copious drip up the driveway to where I park. My son saw it first and asked if I had an oil leak (that would be on his mind, because his Toyota van leaks oil quite a bit). But reaching down and touching it, it seemed like water; and it was evaporating even as we spoke. I haven't seen it happen again (and never had noticed it happening before).

Lol I just took it an posted. Yeah I did that and touched it and it was water hence I was like its not oil nor gas then why it’s leaking. It makes sense due to ac condensation

Thought I was having a similar “issue” with water leaking, but it turns out my floor mats and carpet are extremely soaking wet and there was a pool of water under my rear passenger mat which I cleaned up and dried out last week. Happened again today and I noticed that I had my AC on and could hear a liquid sloshing around as I was driving home looked under the mat and sure enough another puddle of water and carpet completely soaking wet and then I see another leak (makes 2, counting the normal one) underneath the car. Don’t know what else to do besides go to the dealer as it seems it’s not gonna stop. 3CACAF9F-1A3B-49EC-9168-DA3FC7416384.webp72218EBF-A31B-45E2-A1D8-CB71951C3CDE.webp3CACAF9F-1A3B-49EC-9168-DA3FC7416384.webp72218EBF-A31B-45E2-A1D8-CB71951C3CDE.webpCC93245E-B983-4446-A6FA-1317DA9BE7B4.webp

I would say its the ac condenser drain line is plugged or it came disconnected somehow. Thats alot of water though, it must be really humid where you are. If it was coolant it would be green or redish in color and you would smell it, its kinda sweet smelling. I would take it to the dealer since it could be something bigger. The drain is under the passenger side usually in the transmission tunnel somewhere.
Maybe someone else can chime in with the exact location.

Thanks for the info/advice it seems to be leaking under from where the back of the center console would be. Also noticed a few droplets of water coming from the vents in the back but again, that’s a LOT of water

I see that you have a JB4. Do you have WMI as well?

I ask because I had a similar issue with a lot of water getting in the car. Or so I thought. Turns out I didn't reseat the driver/passenger side wiring harness grommets back when I pulled the necessary JB4 connections through.

No WMI just Jb4 w plugs, I just hope it’s gonna be covered under warranty if anything is messed up bc all I can do right now is keep a towel there to soak up most of it and replace it every day

You should have taken that to the dealership after the first time it happened. You don't want to let that area stay wet for prolonged periods of time. You're rolling the dice with mold problems by letting it stay wet.

Definitely don't keep a damp towel on it every day. Stop using the AC. When you park leave the windows open (if you park in a safe location).

Take it to the dealership, yesterday!

I had the same problem this past Thursday?
Did you manage to solve yours?

Yea I took it to the dealer, it was only clogged drain tubes for condensation that were causing the water to pool since it had no where to go
