Wonder if there were any real reasons not run my new Stinger GT2 Micro Blue through a car wash occasionally. Back when, on a '74 Explorer, brushes wore paint of spot in roof.

.................TOTALLY AGREE 100% !!Guys as ive stated in the detail posting....I owned 5 carwashes one of which was touchless....first off never ever run your car thru a chamois or brush type full serve wash...think about it...you are getting the cars dirt that's in front of yours. you are not getting much water either..your ride will look like crap by summer...your paint is being hammered along with your rims...On the touchless side of things....what removes road film? friction removes road film...that be the brushes ,and chamois straps beating the crap out of your paint... Touchless of which I owned and ran....what is the friction that removes the road film? you say the high pressure water and soap...nope guess again....the friction that removes the road film in a touchless is very alkali harsh presoaks/soap...then the removal is basic chemistry...harsh acid rinsing...hoping to get to neutral ....and you think all the spot free water and rinsing is removing those chemicals....why sure...on about 97% of you car...the rest just finds a nice crevice to sit in...don't be foolish....never ever use a touchless...you think the guy mixing the chemicals is a chemistry major? nah I don't think so......so what to do...too cold to hand wash.....go find a good self serve carwarsh and use it...find a good one...yes most are crap but theres always the good one in town, the one with long lines....friction....yes the foamy brush....never ever use a plastic hair foamy brush...look for the owner that offers real hogs hair brushes...if you cant find one...be a smart guy...go to kleen- rite carwash parts house order online a hogs hair brush for about 55 bills the universal is a good brand...the fittings are standard so what you do is take your vise grips and remove that nasty brush at the wash...put yours on ,doesn't need to be super tight...use it and then remove yours and put his back on....easy peasy...always soap up first and wash top to down....if your wash has hogs head brushes before using hit it with hi pressure soap and clean off the other guys dirt....Wash
Well, that's a reason right there! But in Florida, you can always hand wash your baby. I know I would nine times out of ten. In the winter here with salt on the roads, even if it is above freezing, how do you get salt off the undersides? You don't. So during this season I have been getting unlimited car wash passes. The salt is a worse hazard than the repeated contact of the car wash with the paint.Wonder if there were any real reasons not run my new Stinger GT2 Micro Blue through a car wash occasionally. Thanks, Wash. Why have I never learned about pressure washers before? Answer: I don't care about weathering, at, all. My wood turns grey; my cement gets discoloration and a "patina" and I, don't, care. Siding? Bah! Let it turn whatever color Nature applies.Merlin Living in a warmer climate I didn't take the harsh salt ice snow problem collecting in your undercarriage importantly enough.....so,if one doesn't have a "beater" to drive in the winter you must wash the nice car's undercarriage ,and the paint wash that comes along with the wash at a touchless wash...I agree...yes there are trade offs in life. Maybe I can help Yall preserve your paint from the caustic touchless and still get your undercarriage cleaned?
Lets use a home pressure washer as a start,,,they are fairly cheap now days, and do have a lot of different uses....so buy one of those, and then attach a car undercarriage blaster to it
this is from amazon 40 bills and attaches to your pressure washer.....so you can take care of the undercarriage and not harm your paint.Wash

heres another
BE 85.400.062 16-Inch Undercar Vehicle Cleaning Water Broom
fire up the pressure washer with any of these roll around nozzles and you will get the undercarriage cleaner than if you used a touchless.....you can even have carwash soap in the lines and do a great job
I guess why when growing up I was taught to never buy a car from up north...cause of the salt damage.
with your own pressure bar underneath you will achieve a much better cleansing than the wash too !
just trying to save your paint job is allWash
I never said mine were toxic if you could read correctly...I took great pride in giving a great wash via touchless or self.....it was the other guys that had bad touchless washes....even though I owned and titrated chemicals myself ...I still wouldn't use mine on my car.......Of course wash will go on 10 pages about how he owned a toxic car wash that melted his paint blah blah blah. That doesn’t mean every touchless carwash is evil.
Just sayin... (I thought it was your wife car... my bad... it was your mom’s jag... and you said heavy duty alkali instead of “toxic”...close enough)I never said mine were toxic if you could read correctly.. Wash
Well said! But the soap from the touchless carwashes sure does smell goodGuys as ive stated in the detail posting....I owned 5 carwashes one of which was touchless....first off never ever run your car thru a chamois or brush type full serve wash...think about it...you are getting the cars dirt that's in front of yours. you are not getting much water either..your ride will look like crap by summer...your paint is being hammered along with your rims...On the touchless side of things....what removes road film? friction removes road film...that be the brushes ,and chamois straps beating the crap out of your paint...
