Hey all. Just an fyi but I have a friend who works at my local Kia dealership and we got onto the subject of wheels. The oem alloy wheels for the Stinger are a little over $700 a piece. So be on your best behavior when it comes to curb rash and pot holes. Lucky for me I have an acquaintance who repairs wheels so curb rash isn't too much of an issue. But potholes are still something I need to be concerned about. Anyway don't take wheel damage lightly. These are not cheap wheels.

Yeah, that's for sure @ralzod . But I think I'm going to replace my stock wheels anyway. I want something lighter. I think these are pretty heavy wheels. They do look good but I can get nicer light wheels. But damn 360 camera really is good for protecting your wheels. I like to come as close to the curb as possible to prevent idiots from dinging my doors. Anyway I like the idea that these wheels are expensive considering I'll be selling them anyway.

I will admit that I've beat up a wheel or two here or there. But I've got much better over the years. I'm pretty good now a days with my exterior dimensions but I definitely would have appreciated a little help. I switch between an SUV and car and sometimes I get alittle confused.

I believe these are the guys I've used in the past. Quite a few locations around the country from the looks of it, and they said they also get customers who have their wheels shipped back and forth for repair. Cost for 20" asymetrical wheels from my Audi were somewhere in the $100 to $120 per wheel, if I recall correctly. Looked like new after they were done. OEM replacements are $775 from Audi (strangely, knock offs are even more). This is the type of wheel I have (not a picture of my actual car), note that the price I paid included a bit of a premium for both the size of the rim and also the gray coating that they have.

I feel $100 or so isn't bad at all to get a new-looking wheel again. I've had a few wheels repaired in the past and they always came out really good. I've mostly owned used cars and if I bought something with wheels I liked, and they weren't in great condition, I'd get 'em done...

Again, "if I recall correctly". Whatever it was, I felt like the cost was well worth it though.

I'm not as fanatical about wheels as I am the body of the car. Dings have to be removed immediately for me.

The issues are wheels protruding over the rubber. I haven't checked on that at the Stinger presentation ... on my last car I ended up with countless abrasions due to the metal being further out. Not always my fault, with annoying issues at a construction site and idiots on mountain roads. Ah well ... now witht eh 360 cam I hope at least the parking situations won't matter much anymore

Hi Brian question for you or your friend at the dealership about wheel options. I found this listing for a new Stinger and it is the only example of a Stinger or Premium with 19" wheels. Question: Is this modification something dealerships have the leeway to do on their own? Are there options that don't appear in the online Kia build program?

Personally I think this looks a lot better than the stock 18" wheels and I would be more likely to buy this config than either the premium or base.

Any info is greatly appreciated!

Even if shipping to the US increases the price,

There are clean used rims on ebay for $300+, Kia OEM parts site had them listed for around $425.

Any idea how much to repair a ~2 inch rash? Some Youtube video mentioned ~$120+

Price of an OE rim has come down, then.

Figure a hundred bucks and go up from there.

You could use three grits of sandpaper. Until I gave up (too much damage from a car wash guiderail), I was sanding my curb rash "incidents" down. Start with a really heavy grit and smooth everything out. Then 200 grit to take out the heavy scratches from the first sanding. Then finish up with wet 2000 or even finer. But the 2000 (use lots of water) polishes up the alloy nicely. From c. five, six feet away you can't see it if you aren't looking for it.

MSRP for them is $588 a piece.
Part number is 52910-J5210 for the front, 52910-J5260 for the rear.
You can find them used for around $900 for the whole set of 4 including tires.
