I have 225/40 19 in the front and 255/35 19 in the rear i took it in to have my all seasons switched to summer tires. Dropped my car off and i got a text saying my car was done an hour an a half later! I go to pick it up and they said my sidewalls were to small for there machine. What kind of bullshit is that? The craziest part is i took my vehicle there like 4 months ago to get the same exact summer tire repaired and they did it no problem!

Wild guess and assumption about to be made... but I suspect Walmart does not pay a competitive wage compared to the actual local tire shops, so I sincerely doubt they have the best equipment, training, or detail oriented employees.

Maybe I'm just being smallbusinessist.

In my very humble opinion, taking your car for ANYTHING at Walmart is just asking for trouble. I haven't brought my car anywhere but a trusted shop/mechanic in a long time, pretty much since my last beater. The Stinger is not a beater, treat her right.

You took your car to walmart.

Fck Walmart, hate that place. I had a similiar issue with my daughters Hyundai Ioniq plug-in last Dec. I carried in a set of winter tires 10mm narrower and the next profile taller, an hour later they call and tell me to pick up the car and theyre not allowed to put on a different size tire than what came on the car as OEM. Not happy at all. It’s not unusual to move to a winter tire a bit narrower and slightly taller for better snow/ice traction.

Discount Tire is your friend. They even fix flats no matter who you bought your tires from. Classy. Don

I would rather a pre-emptive text admitting they are not good enough VS a text message saying how they f&*%ed up my rim/tire

Props to Walmart for knowing their own limitations.

Only improvement would be telling you up front before you left.

Do they sell 35 series tires? But can't install what they sell?

Walmart? lol

Maybe you don’t quite understand.

A tire place.

That only changes tires.

Just ruined the powder coat on one of my rims. (I even told them to be careful)…

So no. They aren’t my friends. And yes, they are incompetent asshats.

But sure, please go there.

I want to add onto this.

Took my RV into a walmart for an oil change (woops) after a long road trip, and after service, we continued. Around 200 miles in, I noticed that my revs were acting erratically and not shifting correctly. We all thought it could be the transmission, so we halted our trip a few days to get this fixed. We took it in to an individual with great reputation in the area and he said it wasn't the transmission. Took it to ford and they couldn't find out what was wrong, so we continued on. The rev problem was on and off, and we didnt want to miss our whole trip. I suspected at our destination that it couldve been the oil change we had back in walmart, so we changed our oil again because why not, and especially after a couple thousand miles. Drove back home without any hitches and concluded it indeed was the oil change. Looked like it was an overfill of oil as we checked the receipt and charged us for more oil than what the RV could take in. Luckily, nothing got damaged, and nothing leaked from a result of that mishap.

Don't bring your vehicle to Walmart

My extent of using walmart for oil changes is buying the mobil1 0w30 jugs there. That's it. Don't trust those monkeys to work on my car!!!

Do you ever have anything to say that isn't snarky or bitchy? Welcome to being the first on my ignore list. I'm sure you don't care. Don
