I have the system. My installers messed up a couple dip switch settings on the initial install and I went a month without the remote start working and my blind spot control not working. Turns out they read some instructions wrong and admitted it. Now that it works as it should I love it compared to the factory install.

If you're one of those guys that HAVE to DIY, I'd recommend not. But professional install vs. kia factory install this item wins hands down.
I just bought this module and installed it do you have any ideal what position the dip settings are supposed to be in

Has anyone in the Phoenix, Arizona area had one of these installed? I have the unit installed and the installer is claiming the unit is bad. They, the installer, don't want to do any more to help or bother with troubleshooting the installation.

I’m sorry, I don’t know how you got that impression, but that is not correct. We always go above and beyond to help troubleshoot any time a customer has issues. The thing is, every customer automatically assume they have a defective unit and demand a replacement as soon as they have issues with the installation.

As I mentioned in my response, we have been selling this product for nearly 10 years with over 2,000 units sold and we’ve never had a defective unit to this day. It is a very intricate installation process, and if one wire out of dozens & dozens of connections is not wired properly, the unit will not function the way it’s designed to.

I replied to your email explaining that you need to work with us to go back-and-forth with your installer and the manufacturer to isolate where the issue is and determine what is wired incorrectly, so that we can help your installer to get the product working for you the way it’s designed to. We don’t just replace the module immediately when a customer says that it’s not working the way it supposed to be working, because we’ve done that in the past and the never the problem.

Please don’t worry, you just contacted us regarding this less than 24 hours ago, please try and hang in there and work with us by communicating through email to figure out what the issue is, before reaching out to other avenues to try and get assistance. These types of things do take a little bit of time to get resolved.

David, I was implying that 'they', the installer, won't help. You have been gracious and responsive to all my questions and needs. I appologize for the wording and confusion, and updated the previous post.

My apologies for the misunderstanding. Thank you for clarifying that! :)

General question to the board/thread. If you have had this module installed successfully, would you pass along their company and contact info? I have found a local company, inMobile, that is going to troubleshoot and, if necessary, re-install the unit. They asked if I could provide any contact info for someone who has done a successful installation JIC they have questions that aren't the Knowledge Base and other docs.

Anyone mind posting what they paid to get it installed? Wondering if it is an expensive install.

This can range depending on the location of the shop, their level of experience, etc.

Bottom line is, if someone is experienced with wiring and knows what they are doing, this should take 2.5-3 hours tops.

Some can knock it out in 2 hours, and some people can take 4 hours. It really comes down to their individual level of experience.

Then there is the fact that labor rates greatly vary depending on where you go and where they are located.

Here in Los Angeles, I would expect $100 an hour for labor & if it takes 3 hours, you would be looking at a $300 install.

However, I've heard of stories where customers are quoted anywhere from $300-$500 and in some crazy cases as high as $700.

Hi, just a quick question. I did the installation by myself few weeks ago. As I do motorsport wiring, I would consider myself to be experienced electrician. It seems that everything works correctly. But still I have few questions regarding the remote start:
The car starts correctly after pressing the lock button twice, but the hazard lights are flashing - this is on purpose?
Before I press the brake pedal, TPMS failure light is on - I guess this is somehow standard behavior? When ECU take over the engine run control back, all lights are off.
The most important question - is there any timer for engine runing from CCM? When I start the car remotely, it stalls after around 5 - 10 mins. Is this something, which could be fixed? Or did I something wrong? Or is it standard?

Thanks. Martin.
