Hey everyone, I just purchased a 2019 Stinger GT1 AWD. The few dealers I saw said that I can unlock and lock the car plus other things from the UVO app. However, when I got the car and downloaded the app it doesn't show I can do that. What I found in my research is that this is only an option on the UVO Eco app that is only for hybrid Kia's. Is this true?

In Canada, you can certainly lock & unlock with the UVO app. In fact, I went to remote start my car this morning, but it couldn't complete the task because my car wasn't locked. So I then locked it through UVO and then remote started it.

Thats what my research showed me is that Canada has it but not US. But this is from the 2018 models. I want to know about 2019 models for US.

From what I understand there isn't support for a lot of the UVO features in the US. I wish they did.

The dealers were wrong.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Dealers lied to you. Go postal.

Make them pay for drone or some other aftermarket remote start if they told you it had it.

Kia does offer to add remote start, which I think I will do. And hopefully Kia will realize that this is a huge non selling point and they need to add it to their other vehicles especially when the Stinger is their 2nd most expensive vehicle and are trying to compete with the likes of BMW

The remote start they can add is not via cellular. It’s a radio freq remote start. Like a hundred yards or less. Not the same as the uvo remote start that other US KIA vehicles get.
