Used stinger broke down a day after buying!

With the MBRP buy some better clamps, they ones they send are not very good. I will most likely get the Stillen exhaust soon, not really impressed with the MBRP drone. I have tried the tip extension and double trunk soundproofing and I still don't like the drone.

Anywho

I installed my exhaust, took a couple of hours, most time spent trying to get the two clamp/bands at the muffler tight enough so they wouldn't spin and make the tips hit the bumper tips. I just dealt with it for a couple of days until the new clamps showed up and I installed those.

I also found the removing the lower bumper valance help a great deal, easy to do.

Shit's gone left. I don't even know what's being discussed anymore.
It's not surprising you don't see the correlation.

Using the policy you keep citing in the manner you suggest is not in the spirit of the policy. Walmart does not WANT you to do that, just because you can do something doesn't make it ethical. That is, again, why ethics and legality are often mutually exclusive. One can find, hypothetically, loopholes in tax code that benefits them (a.k.a "clever accounting"), but using them is unethical as they're not in the spirit of the intended purpose. Allowing people to easily return things versus intentionally using something as a free rental is apples and oranges. Your insistence that doing this is 'fine' suggests you lack basic cash register level honesty. Gaming the system (ANY system we all participate) hurts everyone else. It's the difference between selfish/self interest and thinking about and acting to the betterment of others. Being selfish is functionally acting at a jerk level in the social contract.

Is there any tips I can buy off Amazon or some other reputable site for the MBRP exhaust? And how much additional (if at all) would they charge for the installation?

Also it requires no welding right? I got a quote recently and the guy was saying he’d have to take the bumper off and that welding may be required and I was like what.. thought it was a bolt on

I don't see a correlation between me telling him the cheapest way to change his exhaust and you responding to me with some bullshit about your quality of sleep or how disgusting you think people are or some shit about taking shortcuts through life and ending in chaos and dissatisfaction or whatever Donald Trump shit was posted. You know why? Because there is no correlation! It's just you on a soapbox stringing together a bunch of random unrelated thoughts that appear to have been rattling around in your BHG and itching to be let out. Climb down from there, you'd probably sleep even better if not for the altitude sickness.

Policies don't have spirits. They're in black and white and lay out exactly what is and isn't allowed specifically for that reason. What is says is what it means. How you interpret it or what you feel to be right or wrong is of no consequence. I'm discussing what their policy states. You're discussing the way you feel about it. On the subject of policies your feelings mean absolutely nothing (unless you have the authority to change said policies).

Walmart does not WANT you to do that
Well, guess what Walmart should do. Hint: the answer starts with "update" and ends with "their policy." "Change" or "alter" are also acceptable.

No welding required to install the catback. Maybe he was referring to tips. Or just giving you a general answer since some cars may require welding with aftermarket exhausts.

I say screw Walmart, LOL. No not really.

I actually had a set of Ramps from Autozone for like 6 months, tried them several times and just couldn't get them to work. Both cars are lowered so it was always super sketch trying to get them to stay put and using pieces of wood, etc. Autozone took them back and gave me store credit for the full purchase price, basically just because I couldn't use them. They were in re-sellable condition though. Also, I did tell them we just couldn't make them work for us.

Thanks all, just ordered the MBRP S4704AL. Hopefully it will make this car loud!
Also didnt know what a kickdown switch was. Thanks
MBRP exhaust is not much above stock. You will need to add secondary downpipes to get some sound out of them.

I can’t afford a Borla and I’m not sure what else is louder so…

that's a bit of a subjective opinion. The MBRP is definitely louder. Like wake up your neighbors when you cold start it at 5:30am louder. might want to start with just the exhaust (and some tips!) and move on to downpipes if it's not enough.

Owning slaves was legal in this country. It was never "right".

If you're waiting to be told how to be ethical/moral by enforcement of rules and/or laws, then the issue is still you [and indeed all laws and rules are apparently written with people like you in mind]. Again, just because someone can do something doesn't mean they should.

This car will never sound as good as a V8. And loud exhaust... really? That's the most important thing to spend your money on? I'm not looking forward to sitting next to you at a light. There's enough noise here I can't imagine wanting to add to it.

Anyway, I'm coming off as grumps in this thread between amoral members and grown kids wanting annoying vroom sound. I'll see myself out and let the world slide further into the cesspool.

Or maybe I’m just old a deaf.

At least stay around for the conclusion.

Been eyeing this laptop - www.ebay.com/itm/165544504451 , it's a pretty good deal for what it is (lacking a ssd). I could use an update to my 2011 sandy bridge machine. BUT, I really only use it on trips and occasionally when onsite. It would end up going unused 99% of the time. I pass on it.

The impulse to buy something is strong. But given the recession we're in, must be careful in spending.

I used to deal with something similar with my lowered Z06. I had to use wood blocks just to get a jack under it. I had a little custom (custom as in made by me in my garage ;) ) 2x4 setup nailed together that allowed me to get it high enough to slide a jack under. What really sucked is having to lug those blocks of wood around whenever I brought the car in for any type of service. Shit was annoying as hell, but damnit the car looked great!

*Sigh*

Call/email Walmart and explain to them what your personal feelings are regarding their return policy. I couldn't be paid to care less.

Well at least we all know who to go to for modification pre-approval now. Our very own arbiter of all things car/morals/soapbox/politics/slave return policy/etc related. Awesome to have you, your highness.

Good idea. We keep slipping on your tears. Bye, stupid.

Anyway...

As long as you don't live in an apartment, I think owning a set of ramps is a good thing. I got a set from a buy nothing group for nothing more than the 10 minute drive to pick them up. Of course they weren't pretty, but I didn't care.

I hope you don’t mean enough noise stock, as it sounds pretty terrible for the price stock. I don’t want it to be clapped out and annoying, but still moderately loud.
So add ARK secondaries to your MBRP set up and Bob’s your uncle.
Thinking of doing that soon just concerned about the warranty. Kinda need it as this is my first enthusiast car and I’m still learning

If anyone has any recommendations for tips or anywhere I can buy them through at least a somewhat reputable site like eBay or Amazon or if anyone had any in Las Vegas lmk!!!

And wow this thread has derailed. Lol!

I say pass on the ramps and get a good floor jack with 4 jack stands. Not as quick to set up but offers more utility.
