Used, new, or wait?

Hey everyone,

I currently have a 2021 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road 4x4 (owe $19k on it) and I have honestly been in the thought of getting a Stinger for a bit now. I came from a Civic Si and I really miss the fun sporty car that it used to be. I honestly thought a truck would make me grow up and mature but that will never happen I guess. I also am really wanting luxuries in my vehicle instead of just a truck that is meh on comfort.

I want a GT2 (maybe a GT1 if it's not much of a deal breaker) but not sure if I should wait for the market to sizzle or just go for it. I have been thinking of new but besides the screen, the badges, and the warranty, the used ones seem to be fine as well.

I say go for it, if you can find one for MSRP or lower. I would get a new one because when I was looking all the decent used ones were within a few thousand of a brand new Gt1.

Personally, I would try to opt for a new one over used it you find one at MSRP. Already mentioned above how the used price isn't that far off from the dealership (CarMax has a 22 GT1 stinger with 7K miles for $47,998 right now). Also, it's probably just me, but I just can't seem to get comfortable buying a Stinger second hand. I have this vision in my head that the previous owner will have been the one using 87 octane and just beating the tar outta the engine with "spirited" driving.

Personally, I would try to opt for a new one over used it you find one at MSRP. Already mentioned above how the used price isn't that far off from the dealership (CarMax has a 22 GT1 stinger with 7K miles for $47,998 right now). Having trouble deciding GT1 vs GT2 new. I know the GT2 comes with A LOT of things but I’m honestly not sure if it would be worth it.

No not really. The only things I really wanted that the Gt2 had were the heads up display and the Harmon kardon stereo. I've never had a heads up display so no big deal. The stereo actually sounds pretty good.

This engine can take it. I'm serious. Short of neglect/abuse in maintaining the car, the engine cannot be harmed stock. You can't even over-rev them, and their performance parameters are set so conservatively that any Stinger engine is bullet proof (short, of course, of mechanical flaws, which are few and far between: that's what the 100K warranty is for).

I have a 2017 Tacoma TRD Sport. This was before they had power/leather seats and the safety tech features. They are pretty basic trucks--great for dependability and hold value well but no thrills on comfort and tech features. You could probably easily sell it for more than you paid for it.

I love my 2019 GT2 and all the tech and features. If you can afford it, you should go for the GT2.

I ordered a gt2 also and was told 4 to 6 months. But I gotta say after reading some of the post on here about orders being cancelled and some kia dealers saying they’re not taking orders because kia is not making them anymore is making me nervous I really want what I ordered. Also my dealer waived my deposit because I “traveled so far “ to deal with them. Only a couple hours. Now I’m second guessing everything ‍ Man I hope these bad news post are wrong
