Looking for a good place in Clarksville TN to get underglow put on my 2023 Stinger. Looking at red but if I could control the color it would be preferred.

I got a generic one off Amazon just to see if I'd enjoy how it would look before I get a real expensive one.
fair enough. just put the cables about 8 inches from the outside of the car on the ground and take a few steps back, enough to see the glow and not the lights, and it will give you the same general look. I have the Type S FD kit on my car that I can take some photos of tonight if you want to see how a stinger looks with underglow.

Damn, I just went online and bought one.
I'm just letting you know that I have turned email notifications off for the discussions you've subscribed to. I just received five messages from Hotmail stating that all our messages were reported as abuse. Not sure if you're clicking the "junk" icon instead of the "trash" icon after you're done reading email notifications or not...

which kit did you buy? Generic amazon ones are not the way.
idk i had the $70 dollar korjo i think its called from amazon and recently bought the $300 lowglow that had all the hype on tiktok and youtube and there about the same,, the only benefit of the low glow is you can choose the exact sizes you need

thats because the Lowglow kit is effectively just a rebranded generic amazon kit, not to mention the other garbage they have on their site. The connection app appears to be a rebrand of a generic LED Bluetooth control app as well.

The amount of expensive kits that are actually worth it are very small. The Type S FD Underglow kit being one of the few, because not only are the strips much more heavy duty then anything else I've seen on the market, but they actually are 3 separate modules for the 3 zones on the car. (Front, Sides, Rear) So you don't have to run the wires all the way across the bottom of the car. Not to mention that the app actually works, unlike most kits. If you haven't mounted it yet, return the low glow kit.

People still do underglow on cars? I know I've seen it on heavily modified show cars but I feel like I haven't seen that on a street car since about the year 2000.

2000? I was thinking early 90s. I think it's a rural/country folk thing. Or we're just too old to get it.

Dig ignored, in whiteout snowstorms like where I live, any light is good light to have if you get stuck driving in it.

Not a dig, unless you think of rural or country as an insult. Maybe a more polite way to phrase it would be "small town thing."

I've actually seen a couple of glowing Teslas posted on the Tesla forum. The two I recall were both from small towns. I was joking with the 90s comment. The last time I saw a car glowing was when I was recruiting near a little town in SW Missouri called "Oronogo." It was a REALLY small town. And the car belonged to a teenager. And he quit in bootcamp (yea, besides the point). Before that it really was the 90s, seriously.

Back in the 2000s I was in the Pontiac Grand Prix club, mostly GPs and a few GTOs. 2 guys had some underglow but mostly it was the Imports that had underglow. Definitely wasn't a rural thing, we were in the heart of St Paul/Mpls.

It was common-ish back then. I meant it's CURRENTLY a small town thing.

Or I could be wrong. I've just never seen it outside of small towns since I was in middle school...and I'm old af! Middle school was 25 years ago.
