Hi, all I'm thinking about installing the Ultimate Performance HFC Downpipe + Mid Pipe Combo Kit or just the Ark secondary down pipes. Does anyone have the ultimate performance ones and if you do how do you like it? Is the performance worth the price? I'm looking more into the combo vs the ark pipes because of the emission test in my state.

I had them installed the installation was quite pricey and very tricky they broke a stud on one of the turbos which took him a few hours to fix, I do really like the sound it is very loud but if I had it to do all over again I would have just purchased the secondary downpipes instead here's a before and after dyno

Is there any droning? If so, how bad is it?

Hey DekCan,

Both of those kits are great but which one is right for you will depend on a few things.

Budget, performance, and supporting mods are all important factors when deciding which kit is best for you.

The Ultimate Performance Downpipe Combo Kit (CLICK HERE) offers incredible performance that you can feel instantly.

Both kits provide secondary downpipes but the Ultimate Performance kit is the only one to include primaries with no CEL.

Ark Secondary Downpipes (CLICK HERE) offer secondaries that are extremely well made, sound great, and they do not require any supporting mods.

Feel free to reach out at any time if you have any questions or if you would like a discount on your order!

Thanks Daniel, so far I have MBRP catback, intakes, tuner and intercooler. If you can provide a discount it can help with my budget.

I have the Ark/MBRP combo. You’ll definitely have drone. I imagine the UP kit would be much worse. Many members eliminate or at least lessen the drone with aftermarket tip, additional resonators, and/or sound deadening in the hatch area and back of the rear seats. I recently added 12in resonators to my set up and absolutely love it.

Thanks! I am worried about the drone. Did you leave the stock tips or did after market?

I left mine stock for now. I just had the resonators installed a couple days ago, and was waiting to see if that solved things for me or not. I have the 2022 with larger tips. The sizing will be different than another forum members and my wallet needs to recover before I do any experimenting lol.

No problem, Please shoot me a message when you have a moment and we can get that going for you.

Mike gave some really great advice on helping with any drone. The exhaust will inevitably be louder with the install but there are many ways you can combat cabin noise and live comfortably with this setup.

Great! once my wallet recovers a little bit I'll reach out to you. Ordered a couple of things from K8Stinger last week.

Where did you add the resonator if you don’t mind me asking

Any chance the K8 stinger store can source some exhaust tips in the future? Seems like most stinger owners who get exhaust systems are always looking for exhaust tips that are 1: the correct size, and 2:dont break the bank. Would be nice to have options for the new 2022 and the older models since they changed sizes.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

I thought the HFC combo was supposed to add gains of 40+ HP and 60+ TQ? Maybe I'm misunderstanding. And same with the sound - I thought this combo didn't affect the sound much if you stayed on the stock catback? The reason I bring both up because I have interest in this combo as well.

I don’t know guys, people add supercharger kits to some cars to get those kind of gains.

I doubt the Stinger was so de-tuned from the factory that there’s 40/60 opened up by a pipe. That’s a huge amount to expect. Be careful where you put your faith.

What do you have done to your car performance mod wise? Those are some great gains for that combo. Is that paired with your full aftermarket exhaust ? Intakes ? Intercooler ?
