Uhhh...New Eibach Springs Install

Just picked up my '19 GT AWD after some mod installs and the springs look WAY off. It sits much higher in the front than the rear. The car was parked on an incline outside the shop so I couldn’t tell how off it was when I picked the car up. Is this the way it should look?

That's how the springs are unfortunately because they are designed for the AWD version which has more weight in the front. If you want level ride, lower in the front you have to order the euro model H&R Springs part#28701-2 <-- the "-2" is very important, don't buy "-1" because it's the same as Eibachs and designed for AWD, the "-2" is RWD

So what you're saying is that even though I have an AWD and we installed the AWD springs, that's what's making them look all uneven? If so, is there no way to fudge the eibachs to level them out more? If not, looks like you live and learn. Thx.

Damn I completely glossed over the AWD part, even though you stated it clearly. Sorry about that. Since you're AWD it should be sitting pretty level and lower in the front for sure. Springs do take some time to settle though so maybe it will drop further in the next couple of days.

The rear is already very low so I sure hope that doesn't settle more. Could they have been installed incorrectly at the shop?

That’s how mine turned out too. 3.3 awd
Eibach said it was within their tolerance. Only dropped about .9 inch. Not 1.4 as advertised. There isn’t any “settling”.
Just make sure the rear AND front bump stops were cut.

I’ll find out. Thx. It’s actually sitting much lower in the rear and a bit higher in the front than I expected. But being so uneven is my main concern. It makes sense that the front may settle more because of the weight of the engine, but who knows?

i reached out to the shop and this is what they told me..

The bump stop has nothing to do with the height of the car, please allow a few days for the springs to settle. The springs are correct for the car and they were correctly installed on the OEM shocks.

I believe that's part of the instructions that come in the box. check your instructions if you still have them.

That's true, the only way a bumpstop can affect ride height is if the car is sitting on it, you would know if it was sitting on the stop because every bump would feel like you're bottoming out your front shock.

I appreciate everyone’s thoughts so far. So what is the consensus?

1. That’s just the way Eibach springs look on an AWD Stinger
2. They will even out when they settle down
3. Something is wrong with the install

I'm no expert, but it looks like something is wrong. My AWD sits pretty level.

They may of installed them upside down, or not correctly on the spring perch on the shock (I think that is the right term for it). I would crank the wheel to the side and snap some pictures of how the springs are installed and any tags you can find on them.

I will do the same on mine when it stops raining

here's a before pic. it definitely is lower now in front, just nowhere near as low as the rear.

Seeing all these other stingers, both RWD and AWD, lowered on Eibach springs...something definitely isn't right with that install.

Mine’s a 2019 so the OEM wheels are 19’s.
