U.S. GT differences compared to GT1/GT2

I purposely went for the GT1 because of the regular shifter as it holds manual mode and can be shifter that way with both the paddles OR the shifter itself. I personally don't think one looks any better than the other but I am old school and pre to prefer not to have to hit a button to put a car in park. I chose the GT1 with AWD for improved handling both wet and dry and price was about the same as a GT2. I also think the leather will fare better in the GT1 and don't really like HUD. The auto lift gate on such a small car is meaningless to me.

I have a 2020 awd base gt. Paid 36k for it last July. Besides the obvious, not having a sunroof (which is insane for a 40k car imo) no smart trunk, another feature I wanted. It doesn't have the side mirrors that tilt down when you put the car in reverse. Definitely a feature that I'd want. Now that I'm used to the stereo, it's definitely not loud enough for me. Would love the 15 speaker setup. The gt only has the 3.5" screen in the gauges, instead of the 7".

I bought the gt1/gt2 screen and nav head unit that I'll be swapping in this summer. Also, the shifter in the gt can be swapped out, somebody used a shifter out of the Optima or Sportage I believe.

If money wasn't an issue, I woulda got a gt1 instead. But I've learned to live with it.
