You're arrogance is so becoming !it was just a matter of time .....................................if you think you should be a moderator , lead by example !

All forums take a turn for the worse when attacks turn personal - don't have to go far to find evidence of that ...I still have those words ringing I'm my ears from the "Panthers" meet up when the former Nissan forum moderator told me "You wait and see your new Stinger forum implode when it starts to get personal". He said give it 2-3 years. I left out some of the key points he indicated, I did this for civility reasons.
His forum with 7000 members he tells me is no more.
I am very careful about what and how I respond , and mean what I say with the highest degree of respect and honesty for what this Forum is established for .................I dont apologize for calling out people that take advantage of position or situation ................If you think you should be a member of this forum, lead by example.
I'm assuming you are directing this at me........... which is odd since you know my previous ownership background with BMW ..........and my feelings towards their reliability etc ............. I'm not suggesting that the BMW HUD is the reason to buy a BMW ...........but , as mentioned in my earlier post , their system is worthy of review and consideration as it is significantly more dynamic and programmable than ours ...............IF you had ownership experience with that syatem you might feel different which was my point ...............As a pilot and Stinger owner i can tell you that if you put too much information into a small HUD it just confuses the user with too much info. You also can miss information due to the clutter. Existing format is more than sufficient for a good driver. If you want a BMW HUD then buy a BMW.
Great Callums think alike.I just want one thing...gear indicator when you switch into manual mode.
When you get used to having that type of info from previous "Lux" brands you miss it , we arent driving fighter jets , the objective of keeping your eyes on the road is the key issue here , you dont have perspective on this obviously , and you likely would have a different POV if you had experience ................it's a new world beyond Subs and Mits , and its the new territory Kia is charting ........................ !![]()
It's not like it will cost KIA anything additional on the hardware end - they've got a generous amount of high resolution real estate available for use on the existing HUD display, so it's just a matter of programming some additional functionality. Signal light indicators? Current Gear number? These would take minimal effort on their part to add in as additional, menu-selectable options, pushed out as an HU update.I'm not sure that Kia are charting any new territory where people are complaining that the feature they've implemented is less featured than competitors (albeit at a lower price point, but even cheaper cars are coming with a HUD these days, and the Nissan Bluebird SSS back in the 1990s had a rudimentary HUD...).

Now THAT software upgrade, I'd pay for ...![]()
Don’t assume as I wasn’t directing at you. Don’t intend owning a BMW either. I am however very conversant with EFIS and HUD design and integration being a commercial pilot, and do know that if you don’t just keep the necessary info on the display it can cause interpretation issues.I'm assuming you are directing this at me........... which is odd since you know my previous ownership background with BMW ..........and my feelings towards their reliability etc ............. Let me be clear. I didn’t attack Manaz.Don’t assume as I wasn’t directing at you. Don’t intend owning a BMW either. My point was that if you cram very little bit of yours and others preferences as to what’s displayed then the cost will escalate the price and the risk of distraction increases due to over supply of information.
The stinger screen is too small to include everything and the creation of a larger HUD will raise the purchase price. No one is right or wrong here it’s just the fact you have to be realistic.
The thing that peeves me the most is the comments directed at moderators which is uncalled for. You do all realise Kia Stinger, the administrator, does not own a Stinger either yet you would not make those comments to him. Manaz was selected on his experience as a moderator on another car forum, not the fact he does or doesn’t own a Stinger. As a moderator we have the ability to uphold the rules of the forum without question yet many still try tell us how to be a moderator. If anyone else thinks they can do it better then by all means apply for the position. Other wise everyone should obey the rules and we will not have any issues.
Personal attacks and trolling is not acceptable in this forum and it only serves to make members leave the forum. As stated it only takes a one worm to make the Apple rotten, set the precedence , be nice to one another even if you disagree.
