Hi all, 20,000 kms on my 19 gt limited AWD ( Canada eh!). Its in at the dealer because she is not making boost...... so sad to not have that car (so fun to drive) I will update the thread as I get info. They are going to dig into it as soon as they can. Without the turbos making boost she is a slug.... let me tell you.

So she just went into limp mode? Do the turbos even spool? They must be spooling. No oil leaks or strange smells?

I dont have detailed info yet but it drove perfectly other then maybe taking like 15 seconds to get to 80kms (50 mph) You would push the "go" pedal and it would slowly accelerate. The tech took it for a drive and when he got back he gave me a kia soul to take home. Right now the soul has more go then my stinger does. I did not get a chance to check the turbo gauge. I did not want to drive it so I loaded it up on the trailer and took it to the dealer. The 3.3tt is a rocket so you can feel something wrong right away.

What side of the country are you at.

oddly enough, there is another member here who also had a problem with boost, but, if I remember correctly, his was either the bov diaphragm was torn, or the turbo inlets were clogged. he was going back and forth to the dealer and it did get remedied but I never found out what the problem was because then my life went to poop.

Simply lacking boost won't make the car that slow.

The engine is almost identical to that in the Sorento (obviously with turbos), which has close to 300hp and takes around 7s to get to 60.

Sounds more like limp mode.

I doubt both turbos are failing. Are you sure you have 0 boost? I would take a closer look at the recirc valves or the pcv valves. I had a car where the pcv valve would malfunction in colder weather and it would run like that without throwing a code.

London area... the kia soul i got as a loaner has double the power my stinger had... has. its at the dealer being torn into. When you stay in the throttle it would turn the check engine light on but when the car was restarted, the engine light went out. I will report back once i know what they find. I am not saying the turbos are not functioning. The tech is who said no boost was being made, but that was only after a test drive so again not a diagnostic answer, more a feeling based on a test drive. They will not have a concrete cause until they tear into it which they started today. I will report back once they give me answers. I forgot to mention that it took about 15 minutes of driving before the power would vanish. When it was cold it would be 100% perfect.

Hey another London guy! Sorry to hijack but let me know if you have a good experience with your dealership, I want them to look at my brakes.

So After not having our stinger for a month!!! I am hoping to get more information tomorrow but all I know is there was a problem with the fuel rail causing the power issues. I will see how things go after I put it through its paces
