TSB for MY22 internal Door Handle Issue

Yea, they told me about yours and gave me the same answer. I am hating them more as the days go on. They STILL have my car, from over two weeks ago.

Both mine and the Scorpion on the showroom had front bumper paint chips from the factory, from a "bad batch". So they had to take it to their New Hudson collision shop to have the paint fixed. They had two weeks to get it done, while I was on vacation and didn't touch it for the whole first week. So now I am at the end of week three and it supposedly should be ready today, after claiming they had problems matching the paint causing a delay. Luckily I have my truck to drive, but it's a lease and I drive 120 miles a day to work and back. It's been a pure sh*t show dealing with them. I will never step another foot into Feldman anything ever again!!! I did talk to my salesman though, who was helping to get things straightened out and they got the door card ordered. Sadly, I will have to go back there for that, if I can't get Kia in Grand Blanc to do it.

Add my 2022 GT2 Scorpion to the list. Both were apart right off the showroom floor. They had an identical stinger on the lot and I said I'd rather have that one if the handles were good. That one was bad too.

Took it back to the dealer yesterday and the tech blamed the tint. I laughed and said it's a mandatory option the dealer puts on every car to jack up the profit and to go talk to the General Manager.

Now I have some real ammunition thanks for this post.

Door panel is what I always called them, until I read "card" on here. (first time was when this broken grab handle issue surfaced, so, not that long ago)

Door panel == card . Maybe that's the korean translation? The owner's manual could definitely use editing by someone who's native english speaking. What's to say the parts descriptions are any different.

So apparently there is more to this fix now. My dealer said they now have to replace both door panels/cards (driver and passenger) with new ones that come with all new clips, longer screws and some add re-enforcement. They say they will be in next week..............

So they can't simply be fixed if they haven't broken yet?

I assume they are just replacing them no matter what the condition they are in. I know the original TSB said cars built from Feb-Jun 21. Looks like they are being proactive instead of just replacing one side and then you come back 6 months later for the other side.

Mine was built 4/21 and a couple weeks ago I was taking the wife for a ride, she went to close the door and pulled the grab handle out. So I gave my handle a tug and it popped out too. I can see the broken plastic pieces where the mounting screws attach to the handle, it's an incredibly weak design.
